I think it's a bit too early to predict the future but people making videos with their own editing tools and shooting videos will still go on because we will always want that human touch.
However, I think it would reduce in engagement because AI videos will take a huge chunk of that engagement on most video streaming platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram Reels.
It's going to be kind of like how Netflix and social media came and now cable is almost out the window.
All of this will happen very fast because the minute OpenAI's AI videos generation platform, Sora becomes accessible to millions and they Manage to either make it free or make the price affordable, many people will start creating AI videos. Of course AI videos are all over the place but it's going to get cooler and more realistic and not just some 5 or 10 seconds motion picture as we see it today.
It will be easy, with just a simple Prompt you can create an AI video. Of course the better the prompt the better the video so those who get good at prompt engineering can make a lot of good content and earn from it.
I have mentioned before that, the platforms will have to work on labeling which video is AI and which is not because AI videos will soon get very realistic.
I tried an AI video generator tool called "Pika" and they have these effects where you can import an image and AI can transform it into a video. It feels close to being real and they even have sound effects added.
This is only going to get better from here. I think it's wise that if you're into content generation, you take advantage of these tools because you can be sure your competitors will and they might outcompete you.
