How to discover your purpose when you feel lost

in Centyesterday

Greetings, lovely friends

This is your friend here to share some powerful thoughts and tips that would help you delve into your purpose as a new being. Create a positive slogan for yourself; when you say it, it will align with your purpose, even if it is going to be a song or a few phrases that would be a source of encouragement to your life purpose when you don't feel anything around your life.

There was a time when I used to feel like I was purposeless, and a lot of things or thoughts would run through my mind, and I would begin to have deep thoughts about it. At times, I would ask God, why did you create me to come and do on this planet Earth? Why am I feeling directionless? Why am I fighting with my purpose? It was a daunting task, and it was like a drift in a season without a compass. At this point, you will get confused and aimless. It has happened to me before, and I put it out of the experience, and I will share with you how I came out of this mess or discover your purpose when you feel lost in the way.

Self-reflection gives a sense of direction

I recommend this first discovery for you to take time and have a deep reflection about yourself. Instead of killing your soul, spirit, and mind with worries, have time and assess your thoughts, what you haven't done, what you used to do, what are your desires, what the thing you are good at doing, what are passionate about, what's your strength, what makes you feel alive. These are the questions that will help you discover your purpose as you have a deep breath of reflection on your life. During this process, you might have an answer to your questions, and you might not have it immediately, but keep asking and reflecting on it.

Have a mentor

Have a mentor around your life; it could be your pastor, your friend, your parents, or your siblings, who could help you navigate your strength and your passion. They can ask you questions or give you something to do and in doing so, you can navigate your purpose. Have a mentor and listen to them as well. Many of us have positive people around us, but we don't listen to them; this is another way purpose can be hidden when we don't take simple instructions and do what we are asked to do.

Listen to your inner mind

Listening to your inner mind can be your intuition, though it is logical, it can work if you keep your positive and enthusiastic. It has been working for me so I don't know about you. We are of different species; nobody can tell you what is good for yourself, but you can be the only person who knows what is good. Intuition is a gut feeling, an inner voice that nudges you toward achieving goals or nudges you away from achieving your goals.

Prayer and studying the scripture

Prayer and studying the Bible can be of great help to you in discovering your purpose. If I fail to insert this, I will be a selfish person. I'm a church person, I spent most of my time in the church where young people are groomed and sharpened through the word of God. Most of the things I discovered about myself are through the church. It has given me the satisfactory exposure I needed for my purpose. Knowing God through prayers and studying His word will help you discover much more about yourself now and in the future. I encourage you to build your relationship with God and have the best version of yourself.

Thank you for reading through.

I love, I care, and I forgive
