The moment I heard about the Skytanic, I was mind blown. Such an airplane with a capacity of over five thousand passengers and premises such as a swimming pool, gymnasium and bowling alley sounded like something that comes out of science fiction movies. It is hard to imagine how this gigantic plane can remain airborne without landing for months. It is like a city in the sky and I am giddy with excitement about what lies ahead for air travel.

When I first learned about Skytanic, it totally amazed me. When you hear its name for the first time you may be reminded of the Titanic but then again remember this is an airship not a ship sailing on water. The grandness of such an approach seems very interesting to me.

If I were to walk into this gigantic aircraft, it would feel just like stepping into an elegant place that has better facilities compared to a 5 star hotel. The thought of being in the air for several weeks or even months without taking off from one’s destination is exciting and scary at once. How would it feel living above ground for all that time?

I simply adore the concept of an airplane with a swimming pool. It would be a memory I would keep forever, swimming thirty thousand feet above terra firma. A spa is provided as well for ultimate relaxation. Picture yourself getting massaged while floating high up upon the clouds and forgetting all about life’s hustles and bustles.

There is also a bowling alley which is quite interesting. This will not only give you much fun, but it’s an excellent idea of passing time with other passengers.Skytanic has more than just transport to offer with these aspects; it is a destination itself.

It would be great if many people could get access because the chance to fly in such an innovative aircraft would be incredible. It’s like getting a piece of tomorrow today.

Certainly, with such a challenging project, there must be some concerns. Security is always one of its key priorities when it comes to commercial aviation and I wonder how those who are designing this will come up with ways in which potential problems can be solved.

Flying for many months non-stop therefore necessitates that Skytanic should be extremely reliable and safe. Then there is environmental impact. Besides, nuclear power is cleaner than fossil fuels but still poses risks and issues with it. I doubt if these have been thoroughly examined and offset though.

Yet another thing to worry about is how passengers will handle being in the air for such a long period . It would be difficult to be confined to an aircraft for many months despite all the amenities. Would there be enough events and entertainments that could take place?

How would the crew pass such extended periods away from land?

Those are some of my questions as more details emerge about Skytanic.
