Holla guys. Good morning and welcome to my blog.
Goal setting is not only about winning but also an effective means of managing a person’s or team’s progress toward a dreamt goal. Today's post I'll be talking about how one can set up goals. These are steps I followed and it has helped me.
Beginner’s guide on how to write personal goals: Step 1: State your objective. Where do you want to end up? A vision provides the answer to that question. Instead of the general goals such as, ‘I will be healthier’ define what that means to you, For instance, ‘I will run a 5k’ or ‘I will consume more vegetables’. It is well said that vision gives clear directions to follow it.
Another thing you should do when setting your goal is to learn how to break it down. Start planning small not wanting to go extensive. Often people who set extensive goals get stuck because such goals seem too distant. Try to break them into manageable steps. When one is having numerous tasks, he or she has to break down the numerous tasks so that they are easy to handle.
Some people do not know this one. Create a plan guys. It is very important. This really helped me. I specifically got a notebook and special pen just for writing down my plans. If you don’t have a plan to achieve it then it simply becomes a dream. Write a plan of how you are going to approach the achievement of each of the tasks in the plan. It is advised that one should practice self- reflection and set times to assess key goals in one’s project to ensure good progress. This way you are able to stay on track in order to effectively respond to any problems that may come your way.
Stay accountable guys. My pastor tells me this all the time. Go to a friend, a family member, or a mentor to share with them your goals. It could also be accountability that will make you stick to the plan you wanted to keep all along. They can provide you with new viewpoints and observations when you share updates and reports on your progress.
I do this particular one every now and then. Take time to celebrate yourselves. Always look at your progress and take some time out to think about the things that you are proud of no matter how small they may be. The importance of reward for achievement is well established – small reward or an off day the morale is boosted.
Last but not the least every now and then one must look at the goals and achievements made so far. Take a chill pill to reflect and then adjust. Having thought through what do and do not enhance the group, we can assess strengths and weaknesses. One should be open about it; you can always change the goals and ways to achieve them to better suit the circumstances.
Goal setting can be described as an ongoing process which involves one defining, planning and reviewing. All you just need to do is to follow the principles and then achieving all your dreams and goals in life becomes a less problem to worry about.
Best wishes ❤️.
