Showing My Goals for Splinterlands and Opening Gladius Case

in Cent2 days ago

In this post I'm going to open Gladius Case and talk a little about my goals in Splinterlands.

Before I start talking about Splinterlands, I'm going to talk a little about Arcade Colony.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.

I'm playing 3 games on Arcade Colony and they are:

There's also the game Genesis League Goals on Arcade Colony, but I don't have any investment in that game.

My main focus is on Splinterlands and Moon Karts because in my opinion they are the most fun and profitable.

  • Remember that this is not an investment tip.

Let's continue talking about Splinterlands and my goals for the game.

Splinterlands

When I started in Splinterlands my goal was always to build a powerful card collection so I wouldn't need to rent them on the market. This meant I would have assets that belonged to me and I would increase my profits in the game because I wouldn't need to spend on renting cards. Over time, the SPS Stacking system started to influence the earnings from ranked battles, so I also aimed to get SPS in Stacking so I wouldn't need to rent SPS from other players.

I play in the Diamond/Champion league in the Wild format, and to get a good SPS reward in ranked battles I need at least 200,000 SPS in Stacked, so the price to get that amount of SPS is higher than getting a decent card collection in Splinterlands.

To build a card collection, I'm focusing on Chaos Legion cards, Gladiator cards, and the current Reward Cards. I chose these cards because they are the easiest and cheapest to get in Splinterlands right now.

Soon I will make a more detailed post about my Splinterlands earnings and my strategy for getting these cards.

Today I'll talk about Gladiator cards, and to get them I need to open Gladius Cases.

You can buy Gladius Cases in the guild shop; they cost 2000 merits and give the player 5 random Gladiator cards.

To earn merit, there are 3 options:

  • Participate in Guild Brawls and receive merit as a reward.

  • Open Loot Chests.

  • Buy merit from Glint.

I don't like buying merit from Glint, and my main focus in the Glint Shop is on Rarity Draws, so my main source of merit in Splinterlands is participating in Guild Brawls.

In the last Guild Brawl, I received 2048 merit and 16.84 SPS as a reward.

I'm going to buy 3 Gladius Cases to see if I can get some great cards for my collection.

Remember that you can use Blood Stone and Power Stone when opening Gladius Cases.

  • Blood Stone increases your chances of getting Legendary cards.

  • Power Stone increases your chances of getting Gold Foil cards.

My Guild's Store is only level 4, so I can't buy Blood Stones and Power Stones.

I wasn't lucky with Legendary cards, but I managed to get 1 epic card and some great cards that will be useful in my collection and help me win more battles in Brawls.
