Why I Believe in Letting Go of Hate

In my honest opinion, I hold onto hate in life always lead to negativity. As if it were a heavy burden hanging over us, it weighs us down and prevents us from making any step forward. Rather than wasting our time and energy on hating someone, we should just freely release them and concentrate on the good things in life.

Hate is such an intense emotion that destroys completely. When one hates another person, they are consumed by this hatred and their decision-making ability is distorted. We find ourselves being preoccupied with thoughts of revenge and retribution, which only serve to continue the circle of negative feelings. It’s like being trapped indefinitely in anger and resentment.

However, when we decide to let go of hate, we break free from this cycle. This means that we open up ourselves to much stronger emotions of forgiveness as well as understanding. Instead of pursuing vengeance, we can also move ahead with our lives and focus on what really matters.

I have discovered that releasing hate has made me happier and more fulfilled living. Rather than waste my time on negative thoughts and emotions, I can concentrate on things that make me happy and satisfied. Instead of being angry and bitter, I am able to enjoy the people who are in my life or the experience that I have.

It is easier said than done though. It is sometimes very difficult for us to forgive someone who has hurt us especially if the pain runs deep. However, I believe it is possible to do so as far as we try our best. Retaining hatred only makes us to be victims at last unlike letting go will free us.

By this I am not indicating that we should forget the wrongs done unto us or act like they never occurred. We need to acknowledge our pains and how much damage has been caused onto us but keeping grudges does not change anything or make things right but hurts ourselves more. It just ensures a vicious circle continues unabatedly undisturbed by love between men.

On the Contrary, we can also admit our pain and allow it to leave. Instead of forgiving someone because they deserve it, forgive for ourselves so that we may be free from loathing. Allowing forgiveness is an act of self-love, not a present to the other person who has hurt us.

Though I understand that ceasing these negative feelings isn’t simple; I am confident that it is rewarding. We must strive to shun negativity in order to open our hearts for forgiveness and comprehension. It is worth the endeavor of living a joyful and complete life.
