My daughter asked me for a chore she can do to earn $25 for her friends secret Santa.
I was racking my brains to come up with an idea for her to do. It's not that I can't come up with chores. It's more, how can I make her do something that is good for her well being. Especially something that will build her repertoire in life.
She already cooks, cleans and looks after her sister when we are not around. In fact I know she is capable and willing to follow and have my trust. It's just that I don't want her to be just another someone that just earns from working for someone.
I read lots of gems online about teaching your kids to be able to earn their keep in life without having to work for someone. Teach them to be working for themselves and all of that. Obviously I don't want it to be unrealistic. I think I a good work ethic is important and does come a long way in helping you achieve something. Even working for someone can be satisfying and allows you to reach your goals in life if know how to work smart.
Save more and spending less. At the same time its also about creating that skill to creating an earning.
So my task for her was to make her create a post on Hive. She has not once posted anything. So I tasked her to do an #introduceyourself post. I set a minimum of 500 words so its worth while and also to have a picture of some sort that is of her own.
I set it today. I hope she does this task as I know it will help her in the long run.
Her account is @madisonelizabeth.
And if one day she decides to join me in Hive properly she will hate me with my post of her picture.
The picture is of her some 8 plus years ago. Rudely woken up after our family Christmas eve party.
Eventhough its a story about your daughters accou t you mis used the introduceyourself tag that’s not how it works here you know that
