RGV.media is an account created to discuss news and experiences in the Rio Grande Valley area of South Texas. One of the challenges of covering such a limited geographic area is that the updates get lost in the sea of posts on Hive. The Rio Grande Valley has a population of more than 1 million people, collectively. However, it is difficult to find Hivers who are from the region.
Having a Texas Community on Hive makes it easier to find Texans, firstly. More importantly, the Texas Community on Hive is a more targeted audience. In this way, posts are aggregated and people looking for Texas updates can learn more about the RGV.
