So basically this is like an advice on how to make the best of your $GODS tokens that you get from the blessings of the gods weekly event in my opinion especially for beginners.
As we all know, the blessings of the gods weekly event in gods unchained that rewards players with $GODS tokens every week based on how many games you played and what rank you ended in.
These tokens are claimable on the Gods Unchained website.
So the event have been going on for 7 weeks now, and has been extended for 4 more weeks.
Up until now, players have been received up to 7-12 $GODS every week and it will probably be around the same range in the month to come.
So after the event is finished, players should have right around 35-60 $GODS in case they started playing since this week. With the $GODS token at around 6$ at the moment, the amount these $GODS are worth sums up to 210-360$ although it is highly expected that the value of $GODS will greatly increase in the future.
So, with that said, how to make the best use out of these tokens?
First mistake new players might make is to directly withdraw these tokens into their personal wallets; however, having to pay ETH gas fees just to withdraw them, will make you a small profit but not the best profit possible.
You can also choose to wait for the value of the token to increase drastically and then withdraw them, which by itself is a decent option but also not the smartest in my opinion.
The best thing to do with these tokens for me, and especially with the release of the feature of using $GODS as a currency to buy from IMX marketplace, is to re-invest these tokens in buying better cards and improving your decks.
Yes, re-invest, make your decks better, as this can bring you many more, better rewards in the upcoming future especially with the game growing, give you a better competitive edge, and the most important thing is keep your gaming experience enjoyable, because if you always have weaker decks you will get to a point where you get frustrated and stop playing the game.
However, be careful not to overpay, remember find the best, logical prices as well as the options that fit your decks and make them better. You can use tokentrove.com to help give you a better idea on the price of a certain card.
So this was my opinion on how to best use these tokens you get from the blessing of the gods!

I would recommend the same. Paying the high gas fee will kill most of your earnings. Reinvesting in cards from the market is probably the smartest thing. Beside that, you need also $GODS token for the forge, which means that you turn the free cards in the game into your own cards You can also upgrade your cards.
Exactly. I did a stupid mistake by trying to withdraw my first gods because I wanted to see how much the gas fees cost. Turns out it can cost between 14 to 200$ which makes it not worth to withdraw. However, I did not know the withdraw request was irreversible and that I cant cancel it so now I am stuck with ready to withdraw gods and no eth to pay for the gas :p. So I learned the hard way haha
I did the same with the inititial amount of token. Withdrawed around 200 token, was stucked with the gas and luckily got a day when gas was cheap.
200 is a bit more worth than the 10 am stuck with :p
Did warn ya lol, i did a withdrawal yesterday and it cost about $50 total including imx registration and forwarding the gods to an exchange but needed $70 eth in metamask to allow for the max fees. I did that with gwei at around 60-70 so if you do it weekend you could get it a bit cheaper but make sure you save up a bunch first so its worthwhile :).
hahaha yeah I know I wanted to see the gas fees and I had in mind the idea to cancel the withdrawal but I did not know it was not cancellable :p so I got stuck like I wasnt intending on withdrawing them I was intending on cacelling but turns out after they are ready to withdraw you can't cancel haha
Yea its not ideal the way its set up but at least you know now and nothing lost, just wait till got a bunch of em and the gas ready.
