sewlie - How I found my way here

Hey Hivers!

Finally getting around to making this post. The support I've received for the Year of the Gods event and the GODS NFTs is incredibly overwhelming and I couldn't be more thankful and grateful for the opportunity I've landed on. Here's some background about me.

You know me as sewlie! I love Mac Miller and spanish food and.. yeah just food.
I was born in a little town in the South of France and moved to the US in 2000. I had always felt like a black sheep in my family growing up, and as I progressed through school that became more clear. I transferred between high schools and then found my way to a business school that I thought I was happy with. That was not the case! I think my mom told me, "You're gonna buy me an island one day!" one too many times.

The college itself was a huge disappointment, although I was able to start my own clothing brand and create a pretty successful halo product. The caps ended up bringing me to Paris Fashion Week 2017 where I presented them to various big brands. Although I didn't land any sales, it was an experience that gave me a taste of just how much I could do on my own. It also showed me what my limit was.

In the months following I stopped doing the clothes and even stopped going to school. On top of that I broke up with my gf of four years and I fell into a bit a hole, and looking back I was definitely depressed but I wasn't the type to admit that kind of stuff even to myself. Fast forward to 2019, things were getting better, and my mom was getting married in June. Then I found out the I had a badly torn labrum, a muscle in your shoulder joint. My mom's wedding was that June so I decided to put off the surgery until July and took time off to heal. Since then I've been working taking care of two kids during the week and working towards getting out of the business program I was in, and into an art program which I can say is a recent success! Earlier this year I unfortunately tore both biceps and had to have surgery right after finding this game. Sob story I know.

Now to the game: I LOVE YOU. I was exhausted streaming b/s fps games that just promoted negative emotions and no return on the biggest investment, time. God's Unchained has made gaming an experience only rivaled by the pressing of the Nintendo Gamecube "ON" button and plugging in those controllers. I plan to fully support and aid the success of the game that has already changed my life in more ways than one.
