The Voids Of the Gods Collide With Void Summoning!

Hey everyone!

I recently came across an interesting and original contest idea for people to create their own custom GU cards using #MyGodsUnchainedCustomCard. If you've not yet heard about this contest, you can find more information in the original post. I highly recommend more people to participate, as it is a fun and creative way to unite the community for an event.

My personal entry is Void Summoning. It is a 7 mana death spell and as the name suggests it pulls creatures from the void and summons them onto the board. I chose to make this a death card because it fits the resurrection from the void theme death has.

I would use this card in a zombie death deck, which summons a lot of zombies using cards like Cursed Obelisks & Necroscepter. For 7 mana you would clear the board and ideally summon 5 large statted creatures from your opponent's void while they summon 3 zombies. Zombies death also has the ability to reach 7 mana, due to the leech of the zombie. This card could be very broken when it pulls 5 large creatures from your opponent, but can also give you 5 creatures from 1 or 2 mana. So, it's a bit of RNG but a nice board clear either way.

An important detail to note is the wording of "Then". This means that it first destroys all creatures and sends them to the void. And after that it summons the creatures, meaning the destroyed creatures can also be resummoned on the other side of the board. Unlike with for example Pyramid Warden, where if you have no creatures in your void and one of your creatures dies while killing the Pyramid Warden, it will not resummon that minion as the afterlife effect triggers before the creature is send to the void.

The art on the card represents two voids colliding and splitting in the opposite direction. The collision refers to the fact that the creatures are coming from the other players void, and because they are pulled from the void the artwork features a void like design.
