There have been several ways to earn gods over the past few months, so it's a little confusing as what the current rules are. Right now, you have to play games during the weekend ranked event (Friday 8 am eastern to Monday 8 am eastern). Based on how many games you win, you'll get $GODS tokens usually ~7 days later.

The amount you get also depends on your rank. 5 wins at Mythic is much more than 5 wins in the bronzes.

In short, if you just started playing, you won't be eligible for gods. My advice: try to rank up in prep for this weekend ranked event. Then play up to 25 games and get as many wins as you can. After that, just wait for the GODS to roll in.
