It's been a week on Hive, and I've been glad to be a part of the Gods On Chain community on Hive. I first came across this community via a post on Reddit, and I thought that the posts here were more thoughtful than those on Reddit. Even though I'm not a writer, I do enjoy writing from time to time, except that:
- I'm not very good at writing and expressing my ideas in clear and concise prose
- I tend to run out of ideas pretty quickly
- Writing consistently is a constant battle
Despite that, I still wrote a few posts here and realised that I enjoyed it, as well as interacting with the community. Thanks to @acidyo for providing me with the Hive Power required to interact with the Hive chain, I wouldn't have been able to write comments and vote on posts otherwise. I also found a couple of pretty cool creators for Gods Unchained content which was a huge bonus.
To give back to the community, I want to host a small contest for the community - I'll be giving away cards from my own collection! I'm not sure how it is usually done so I would appreciate it a lot if anyone could describe how contests are usually hosted on Hive 😁 Also, let me know if what I'm doing is allowed and encouraged and I'll remove the contest if it isn't allowed.
The Contest: What's Your Custom Card?
In many Card games, there are these custom card creators that you can use to create cards with unique effects that aren't in the game. I find that these allow people to express their creativity pretty well and show their spin on how a card can be designed.
I found a custom card generator for Gods Unchained here: gucustom.cards. Using this tool or otherwise, create a custom card that you wish existed in-game. Describe how you arrived at creating this card and why you think it's cool.
What's in it for you?

I know the cards probably don't exact that wow factor - but hey, this contest is more for fun! Winners will be selected by me - I can't guarantee I'll be a perfect arbiter of what's good and what's not, but I hope to be able to select the most creative entries!

Sick contest I wish I would have thought of it. Now I am going to waste so much time making cards that are not in the game lmao. I barely have enough time as it is with Gods Unchained and splinterlands. Oh wait what am I talking about. There is always more time when it comes to anything that has to do with Blockchain gaming. I think for card creation contests, you should incorporate themes and other limitations so that you could narrow down what kind of cards you will judge on. Example: Only 5 cost creature cards and below from either War, Death and Nature gods. Anyway, thank you for your initiative to host this community contest to at least promote awareness and in your own way, grow the game. I look forward to more contests like this and my suggestion could be implemented. Cheers!

Anime characters as future Legendary cards?
Card Lore and Background
In case you are not familiar with this character, he is famous from the anime "Naruto". As for his effect, it is based from his ability in the show called "Amaterasu" which essentially is cursing a particular location/person with black flames that don't go out for at least 3 days. However, as a side effect of continuously using this very strong ability, his overall health suffers and his eyes bleed after each use, hence the "deal 4 damage to your god" effect.
I think lore and ability wise, I perfectly captured the theme that I was going for with this card.
As for the actual gameplay, I think he will fit in board wipe death and sacrifice death perfectly after using cards like siren of the grave and resurrect cards to rez siren. I would even add this card as an additional mid game board control card for zombie death, given that the burn +4 effect will continue to spread as long as they have creatures that are affected by the initial effect.
