Hey guys!!

I'm here today to show you how it all started for me in card games and the immense affection and satisfaction I have for them, you'll probably understand why. Soon after we start a journey: The Newbie Saga! The beginning of a long road, which we will all walk together, being a newbie in Gods Unchained, I will bring to everyone my evolution and experiences within the game, always aiming to improve decks and gameplay. Wish me luck!!

Before starting the Saga of Gods, here's the reason for my love for card games..... Some of you sure remember HIM:

Yes, my friends!! DARK MAGICIAN.
For those who remember, he needs no introduction, but for those who didn't know him or don't remember, this is the card of the protagonist of Yu Gi Oh! (which means king of games). Yu Gi Oh! has its origins in a manga series in 1996, which had its anime adaptation in 1998, and finally, in 1998 the card game began to be produced by Kazuki Takahashi, having its development and publication done by Konami.
I grew up with all my friends playing Yu Gi Oh!, it was a fever in our time and that's why it was something that marked so much, who is from this time, I hope you share my feeling for the dark duels haha!

To go a little further and finish the matter Yu Gi Oh!, here is my favorite and the first electronic game I played in the franchise:

Yu Gi Oh! The Dueslit of The Roses.
This is a Playstation 2 game, released in 2001. Its mechanics (innovative for the time) work around a board, where both players have their deck leader on the field and their objective is to summon increasingly stronger monsters to cross. the board to the opponent's deck leader and zero his points by attacking him. Although its style is very different from the occasional one, its premise is still the same, forming strategies with your deck, attacking with monsters and spells thus reducing the opponent's life points.

Finally, please let us know in the comments if you would be interested and if you think posts about Yu Gi Oh! The Duelist of The Roses for Playstation 2. Who knows we have a new Saga???

Now that I've shown you where it all started, we have a long road ahead!!

I started playing Gods Unchained a little over a week ago when @polessins showed me the game and now I'm hooked! I decided to start with the War Starter deck, it seemed to be the simplest for the beginning, as soon as I played some games I realized that the deck revolved around some cards and that its objective was to end the game quickly, let's start with the ones that cost less mana, but no less important:

1_war_deck_newbie_saga.png

The Boil-Blood Outlaw is perhaps the best card in this deck, if not the best, it's definitely in the top 3, in this deck your strategy can be based on it, when well used it can become hellish for your enemy, a simple 2/ 2, can take a snowball effect and end the game very quickly, getting a much higher attack than creatures that would normally be stronger than him. For its potential and cost, this card is guaranteed value in the Starter Deck War.

We continue with another 1-cost card, in this deck we see that less can be more:

Vicious Rend is a very powerful card in this Starter Deck, because it is a playable card at the beginning of the game, it is very difficult for that creature that your enemy summons in the second or third round to survive, its potential to end the game fast is also very good, since with it we can attack the enemy God directly, another factor for this card to have its value is that in this deck all cards cost 1 mana have no more than 2 attack damage, that is, this card has the power at the beginning of the game of killing creatures that your own could not.

Now let's move on to a 2-cost card:

3_war_deck_newbie_saga.png

Using Remshackle Hatchet I realized that it has a very good utility and that it complements the creatures in your deck very well, as well as Vicious Rend, this card helps your 1 mana creatures grow at the beginning of the game, in addition to being able to be used as soon as it is lowered and able to attack the enemy God, that is, it has its value at the beginning and at the end of the game.

In my view, this is the only 2-cost card that deserves to be here, let's go to the 3-cost one:
4_war_deck_newbie_saga.png

Raid Reveller proves to be a very effective card in its practice, in addition to being a card with a higher attack than all its predecessors, it has Protected, which allows it to zero another creature without harming itself or tanking once more.

Raid Reveller is also the only one of its cost that I will put here, I don't see the need to mention any of cost 4, so let's go to the cost 5 and last cards:

I found Flamecaller very interesting, at this point in the game, in a good situation, our board will have a frontline and some creatures, which makes it very difficult for the enemy to access the Flamecaller because it is a backline card, besides, at this point, the creatures of the enemy will also be harmed and 1 damage to each of them may be exactly what we're going to need, a good card for when you need that little help.

And the last 5-cost card, but certainly one of the best cards mentioned in my opinion:

6_war_deck_newbie_saga.png

Guys, this card is insane for a Starter Deck, it joins the effects of 2 cards already seen in this deck, they are Raid Reveller and Flamecaller. As said before, if we have a good game so far, at this point the board will be with some creatures, and the more the better, since Over-proof Brew will grant 2 buffs to ALL of them, if we were strong before, this will definitely will be what will define our matches, despite being a late-game card, it can be considered the hope for games that last longer. Valuable card for this beginning and for this Newbie to evolve in Gods Unchained.

I hope you enjoyed the nostalgic beginning of this post, for sure Yu Gi Oh! marked an entire generation and to me for sure, reverberating to this day!
As for my The Newbie Saga, it continues briefly, in part 2 I will bring you all the first upgrades I got in my Starter Deck War and how it works in its entirety.

LUCK ON THE JOURNEY, LONG LIVE CARD GAMES AND CREATURES!!!
