Gratitude is the highest form of worship and the strongest act of faith. It requires a blind faith, at times, to step into a place of Gratitude for and in your life.
To believe that you see the light in dark spaces is to choose to acknowledge the presence of The Most High in the middle of your conflicts and storms takes courage. It flatters the presence of God who likes to know Their ability and presence is magnified in comparison to your enemies or challenges you face.
It’s also draining giving into doubt and worry!
It can be difficult navigating through disappointing and trying times because we can’t see the outcome or the end of the situation clearly. Life in the valley feels like a Suspense film, on the brink of your seat for what’s next. It’s anxiety inducing and stirs up a fear of the future. I am learning to be courageous in all things (Joshua 1:9, “The Verse for COURAGE”), and one of those things is believing for favorable outcomes in my life.
That can be hard to do if your past was filled with let downs, heartbreaks, pain and abandonment. But it’s possible; not easy, but it’s possible!
I am learning that when life comes at me hard that The Most High sets up a stopping point against these blows life throws at me. I choosing to believe I’m held close, loved, and favored in the midst of it all. That requires knowing, “I’m still standing because my Spirit is strong enough.”
In the past, I opted for complaining, and deflating and staying knocked down before I got back up. This time, I choose to believe that what I lose in this season of my life is a clearing for better opportunities, an increase, or leveling up!
It supercharges you to show gratitude because it gives you hope and energy to push forward or let go and progress in another direction.
I’ve decided on Gratitude over worry. I’ve decided on Thanks-giving instead of waiting with my hands out to take. I can’t have a relationship and not expect to give gifts or show appreciation for the one I love. I’m in a relationship with The Most High. We all are.
Our interaction and relationship with The Most High is spiritual in nature and it spills over into our physical life when we honor that relationship. It’s been the biggest ‘aha’ in my womanhood journey.
I’m learning to pray again, communicate with My God, my angels and just say the words, “Thank you”.
I’ve decided to initiate and active more blessings coming in to my life by simply saying and giving the gift of praise and thanksgiving as a gift to my Creator, “Thank You Most High, I see what you did there for me… I can’t see it all just yet but in time it’ll all be made clear.” (1 Corinthians 13 “The Chapter on LOVE”). Because like any healthy relationship, acknowledging how much you appreciate the other, opens up the space for a more loving exchange between you both.
Choose Gratitude.
It’ll change your life.
