“Hello, sir.”
He turned, it was a little girl, about eight years old. He almost cried out in relief. “Hello,” he said, smiling uneasily.
“Please can you tell me where I can get sardines?” she asked, staring up intently at him.
“Oh,” he stammered. “I _ah don't know, but you should ask the attendants.” He said pointing in front of him.

Love isn't a Enough

You have to remember the rainy days."
"Really? Are you counting change or millions? Why are you so stingy to others but get yourself flashy things? Look at your house, your cars, but then look at the people in your life. Don’t use that fear of future scarcity to blackmail me. What do you mean by 'rainy days'?" I asked mockingly.
He stood up, reaching for my hand, but I shrugged it off, and he continued, "Life is not all about money, but the moments you cherish."

“Hey! Are you okay? What are you doing alone out here? Aren't you scared of the beetles?” A small playful voice roused him.
Daylight had seeped through the canopies of the trees and Rio set his eyes on a girl just about his age. She had round eyes and brown curly hair.
“Where am I?” Rio blurted without moving an inch.
“I knew it. You are new here. Well, welcome to Little People Village. I am Jena.” The girl said.

"Do you hear that?" Miranda asked Larry.
He listened.
"It sounds like a flute."
They followed the narrow path, marveling at how life began to stir anew as the locals once again ventured outside to put things back in their place, run errands, head back to work, or off to the sea in long lean canoes.

Tomás, the shoemaker

At other times, it was not a tiger, but a crocodile that Mr. Tomás had faced:
"I was swimming very calmly in the Nile River, once I went on vacation, when suddenly I see a crocodile coming towards me. I was going to swim faster, but I got a cramp in my leg and couldn't do anything. When the crocodile came and bit me, I thanked God, because the leg he took off was the one with the cramp and I was able to swim to the shore and I was saved".

James

"James?" But there was no reply.
Then I peeked at the back of the door to know what held the door from opening and lying just behind the door was James unconscious.
"James, what sort of play is this? Get up and let me in" I playfully said to him. But he didn't move nor did he react.
