Manuel, the ice cream boy
"Who is Manuel?"
"The ice cream man,” I said in a self-sufficient manner.
Dad knew where Manuel lived, so he decided to go look for him. Meanwhile, Mom was questioning me and scolding me for not having said anything earlier. Inside I was thinking:
"What's wrong with my aunt getting ice cream?"

Everything Happened Swiftly on February 29th
"That's the only option we have. You'll have to give this a try," she said amidst tears. I had never seen her look so helpless; she must have missed her steps because her eyes were clouded with tears. I hated to see her that way, so I took a chair opposite a painting board, dipped a brush into a tonne of oil paint, and began to paint the first portrait that changed my life.

Counting the wrong chickens
"Jenny, do you think you'll win this race as you've always done?" She had asked me.
"I'm the G.O.A.T in this game dearie." I responded and my friends laughed.
"You wish you were." She said in a voice laced with disdain.
"Do you have a problem with me? Whose side are you even on?" I asked her, getting annoyed by her words already.
"If I were you, I wouldn't count my chickens before they are hatched."

However, his late-night visits suddenly came to a halt, and then one day I heard a horrible news from the gossiping maids.
"Poor boy, I didn't know he'd end up that way! If only they hadn't forced him to do something that he couldn't do, he would have been still playing those beautiful pieces he used to play before."
"Shush Rosanna, don't raise your voice because if Madam will hear us, we'll surely be punished!", an older voice chided.
