It's a very sweet story. The end is perfect because as an author you are acknowledging that there is nothing unique in two people meeting after many years and being fond of each other. However, the fact that you acknowledge this elevates your story. The scene is well written where the narrator falls on the floor and is covered with food. All in all a nice arc and some great descriptive passages.
