You've really captured all of the feelings and commotion of the first day back to school. You did a nice job of creating your characters and writing dialog.
We have some important information and resources for you to help you get to know our community and our requirements. Please be sure to read our community rules at the top of The Ink Well home page, if you have not yet done so. A few important notes:
- The Ink Well is all about quality short fiction and community engagement.
- We provide weekly writing prompts to inspire our community of fiction writers.
- You can find many writer's resources in our catalog of fiction writing tips. In particular, we recommend the article, Help for the Grammatically Challenged, which provides important tips on how to use Google Docs to draft your stories. It will point out errors that need to be fixed, and you can fix them by clicking on them.
- We ask everyone who posts in The Ink Well to read and comment on at least two other writers' work in the community for every story published.
- We keep a watchful eye out for spam and plagiarism, which are not tolerated.
And here's an important note about your story and writing quality: you have not added periods at the end of your sentences. A writer's job is not done until the work has been edited for errors, and all sentences are complete. We ask that you take a bit more time, if you publish future stories in The Ink Well, to craft and edit your work so you are posting quality short stories. Thank you.
