Thank you for sharing your story in The Ink Well!

Hello from The Ink Well admins. While your submission was not personally curated this time, here are some resources for you.

Be sure to check out our community rules at the top of The Ink Well home page.

To learn more about the craft of fictional short stories, check out our catalog of fiction writing tips.

To learn more about the creative nonfiction genre and what we're looking for, read our FAQ and tips for success.

Creative nonfiction stories are true stories, which are told like fiction. So, for example, a creative nonfiction story should have elements of fiction such as characters, dialogue, action, a conflict that is resolved, etc. If you read the article that will help!

And please be sure to engage in the community by reading and commenting on the work of other community members. We ask everyone who post in The Ink Well to read and comment on at least two other stories for each one published.

It is also a requirement to share the URL link to your post in the comments of the contest post itself.

Keep writing!
