That's really good to hear. The resources available are excellent and have helped many writers to develop and hone their craft. I have used many of them myself! Writing fiction has some key metrics that need to be employed in order to draw the reader in, keep them interested, and get them invested in the lives of the characters, and the outcome of the story. Without a good hook, character and story development, a conflict with resolution, and balance between narrative, action, and dialogue, you can't really have a good piece of fiction writing. Instead of lifting off the page, the writing can feel a little flat. It's really enjoyable when you begin to experiment more beyond pure narrative writing.
