We accept two kinds of short stories in The Ink Well: fictional stories and creative nonfiction stories.
We are all about quality, and we expect writers to carefully review their work before posting. This means that you need to proofread your work and perform a light edit to correct for spelling, punctuation, and grammar mistakes. Not doing so will result in low curation rewards or posts being ignored.
Your piece was a dense piece of narrative that had not been edited. You need to break your stories into paragraphs, edit for errors, and add other key fiction elements such as dialogue with correct use of speech marks. You also need to provide image sourcing for the image you have used
We also expect writers to submit original stories that are not AI generated, plagiarised, or re-spun versions of existing stories. There are many fables and folk tales that have been told over the years. Writers should resist the urge to tweak these stories and represent them as their own work. We only curate original writing.
