the sun did not hesitate
to unveil her most perfect smile
the moon looked forward
to embrace me
And the stars begged for a turn.
In the moment I cried,
Flowers grew out of forgotten walls;
Guava tasted tastier on a
little boy's tongue
And music revived a soul drowning in cycles.
On the day I was born,
There was a smile on
Papa's stolid face
And Mama knew she held gold.

that earth waited for my arrival.
