The story of the child and the magic objects. ~ The Ink Well Prompt #81

in The Ink Well2 years ago

In a world where everything is possible, in a small town in a country called Venezuela, lived a small family and with them lived some magical and harmless beings.

Each of the objects were bought during the family's vacation, when they were returning in their car they stopped in a town that seemed a little strange, in an antique store, although the seller had told them that they are magical objects, but they did not give importance and decided to buy it.

Those beings were an inkwell with a quill on its head, a roll of parchment, a lamp and a bronze dog as an ornament, every night when everyone in the house slept they came to life.

One day, when dawn began to break, the whole family got up, after washing themselves and brushing their teeth, they went to the dining room and noticed that the inkwell with the quill on its head was not where they always left it, it seemed strange to them, so they stopped paying attention to it and continued with their daily routine.

Each of the objects that came to life only happened at night and not during the day when they were alone. When night came and the family slept, they came back to life.

When they came to life, all they did was play with each other, as when some children had been back to life for 3 hours and the child of the family woke up, getting out of bed to go to the kitchen to get a glass of water and then go back to sleep, the objects were stable when they saw the child leave the room.

That day, the child almost caught them alive, but the child noticed when he went to the kitchen that the inkwell pen was moving for no reason, since in that part of the house no breeze enters, but as he observed that the inkwell was still he did not pay attention at that time because he was a little asleep, the magical beings the next day put more care when they came back to life.

So the days went by, and they kept playing with each other, but the boy was still intrigued, until he could no longer and left the phone with the camera recording pointing towards the objects, but that day the magical beings did not move.

The boy left the phone recording for several days and always checked it to see what he got, put the phone to charge during the day and at night Asia the same thing over and over again, until one day the magical beings returned to play without realizing that they were being recorded by the boy's phone. The next day, when the boy watched the video he could see how the objects moved, he did not tell anyone and during the night he stayed awake to see it with his own eyes, he was able to surprise them while they played tickling each other. The objects were only shown moving, as the child had seen them move.

The child, after that, always stayed awake during the night so he could see them, play the headdress and tickle them, but without saying anything to his father and mother, when the child felt like sleeping, he would get up from his seat and go to his bed to sleep at ease.

One day the boy decided to tell the news to his father and mother, but his father didn't believe him and his mother did, one night they both started talking about if their son was going crazy, they decided to take him to the psychologist thinking that he was a little out of his mind.

After several appointments with the psychologist, they realized that their son did not have any psychiatric condition and they stopped taking him.

Grandfather Jose, your story is very nice, who told you? - said Antonio, his grandson.

He smiles and answers there is my dear grandson, what I just told you is not a fantasy story, you see the shelf behind you, look at the inkwell with the pen on top, the roll and the bronze dog, I am the child of the story and those are the magic objects. Said Jose.

His grandson asks him how long ago that was. He answers that it happened when I was only 8 years old and I am now 78 years old, I stopped watching them play 50 years ago and I kept them in the hope of seeing them play one last time.

Nota: The drawings are of my authorship. They are drawn by me, in paint.
