In the end, Emeka discovers the reason for his father’s strict attitude. The reason, of course, doesn’t justify the method, but it does explain the madness.

Emeka's parents are real disciplinary officers. They might be too harsh but dad had a genuine reason for his way of training Emeka.
Not all women get things easily in life but most of them do and whether it is a male or a female child, it's good to train them properly.
