A day in the slums of lagos

Growing up in the slums of Lagos or as it is popularly called now the trenches. Is not an easy task.
You would see a family of six struggling to live in a one-bedroom apartment, they don’t have the access to basic amenities of life like clean water, good roads, electricity, and so on.

Good dialogue and scene setting. Your story spills the facts about life on the underside of Lagos very well. You’ve evoked the raw hardship, but you’ve achieved your description in jaunty terms that make for interesting reading. Nicely done!

One thing, though, take note of your punctuation - for instance:-

“My parents are fine”
“You don come again(you have come again” I replied.

Should read

“My parents are fine.”
“You don come again(you have come again).” I replied.

Please be sure to comment on other writers stories, it is a requirement.

A story written in dialogue that really catches, the difficulties are so real that make us get into the skin of the characters, however even though it seems real, it shows us that with difficulties and all, sometimes being simple is all we need to be well.

Excellent story, best regards.
