So this is my second entry for the ongoing poetry challenge. I'm not sure what I will come up with, just going to go with the flow and use this piece as a therapy.

Let's pick up where we left off,
don't snooze just before take off.
Let me engage your mind.
Let me occupy your thoughts.
Raindrops making melodies on the
roof like a soundboard spurred
my mind into reflecting on a
different time and place.
Where your presence filled up
the air and left no room for space.
When your smile pushed back
my pain and cuddled my fears.
My thoughts where like the earth
constantly rotating around the sun,
got so close i'm scarred with burns.
Armour now vulnerable. A skin break.
Wonder when next we'll be able
to sit and have a bowl of rice
together without the intrusion
of an awkward air.
I like the poetry, thanks for sharing! The poem kind of sounds like an issue between two partners that are having relationship issues. That’s how I interpreted it, what was yours?
It’s great that you’ve found a solid place to post and interact with people. That can be a challenge sometimes but another great way to break the ice so to speak, with a group is to enter their contests! Keep it up my friend.

I liked the tone of your poem, and that it's also presented in free verse. Being a love poem, you treat it without falling into any easy way. I particularly liked the second and last strophes. Greetings, @okikithegreat.
