New year, new habits.

"I am tired of procrastinating because, in the end, I am the one that still has to clear the workload that piled up while I was busy procrastinating." Joshua said to his roommate after realizing and recounting all that procrastination has put him through.

"Procrastination is something a lot of people have had to deal with, and it is a habit that is quite difficult to do away with. So how do you intend to do away with procrastination?" Samuel asked curiously because he knows how difficult it is to deal with procrastination.

"I think I will first of all start by making a schedule and try as much as I can to stick with it, and on no account will I postpone anything on my schedule." Joshua responded.

Procrastination kills dreams and stops them from becoming a reality. Joshua started small; even when elders warned him about the effects of procrastination, he still did not listen, and now it has become a habit for him, and for years he has been battling and trying to end the bad habits, but every time he tries to, he ends up going back to it like a dog that goes back to its vomit, and after years he just cannot keep going like that.

Procrastination is something Joshua has made a habit of since he was young, but now, as a content writer and a government official, procrastinating is really telling on him, as for every time he procrastinates, he has to work double in order to meet up with all that is expected of him, and now it has dawned on him that he cannot keep going like this or else he will lose his job or even have a mental breakdown, for whenever he procrastinates, he works double and stresses extra.

"You know how many times you have tried to get rid of your procrastination habit, and it did not work, but I think having a schedule and going by it is a good way to go about it and a great idea." Samuel said.

Joshua has really battled with procrastination and has now had it to his neck and is willing to go all out to ensure that in the new year he does not have to suffer the consequences of procrastination, seeking advice from friends and family as he embarks on his quest to ensure that he wins the battle with procrastination.

"Doing away with procrastination is my New Year's resolution, and even if that is the only thing I achieve in the new year, I would still be happy at least." Joshua responded with great determination.

"Even though going with a schedule is a good idea, do you think only having a schedule can help you fix your procrastination habit?" Samuel asked

"Going by a schedule is the first step I am going to take; afterwards, I will eliminate every distraction and do away with anything that will try to tamper with my schedule. I think these two would do, or don't you think so?" Joshua asked

"You can also have set goals you plan to achieve for a day, a month, or a week and work towards achieving them before the deadline; that way you won't procrastinate as you would do anything to beat the timing. These and all that you mentioned earlier will definitely do the magic." Samuel suggested

Joshua is wise. When I grow up, I want to be a smart strategist like me

Atleast Joshua has some determination to get things changed in the coming year unlike others who are comfortable with where they find themselves. I guess it's an attribute we'll all love to have. Change is inevitable!!
