"Go!!"

"I'm not leaving you"

"You know I will not be able to control it, I'll hurt you...Go!!"

"I said I'm not leaving you"

"Please Kate, I will not live with myself if something happened to you, worst! If I did something to you"

"I know you, won't hurt me"

The moon shinned bright that night, it was the first time Mathew experienced the werewolf gift passed down his lineage. He was told the the gift would activate on his 23rd birthday but this didn't feel like a gift to Mathew, it felt like a curse. Kate knew what she was getting herself into she fell in love with him. He was too nice of a man to pass off.

"I'll be fine Kate, just go!!"

He tied himself up to make sure he didn't hurt anyone when he turned but he knew deep down the ropes wouldn't hold him. All he wanted at that time was for Kate to be safe and far away from him as possible.

It was time, he was turning, a very horrify sight to see the man she love transform into a beast. He's eyes turn red and fur covered his body from head to toe. Maybe she should've left when he told her to, whatever that thing was, it wasn't her Matthew anymore, at least not at that moment.

It took a glance at her before jumping out the window of the cellar. Even if he didn't hurt her, he could hurt someone else. She followed the paw prints to a nearby butcher's house, the smell of the meat must've attracted him there. The door was open, she slowly walked in, careful not make any sound until she heard a cry from the back.

The beast had the butcher backed up to the corner, he usually cuts his meat at midnight so he could make early morning rounds to the market.

"Hey Matt, it's me Kate".

It turned to her direction, growling with it's eyes as red as blood.

"You don't want to hurt this man, you don't want to hurt anybody. You can control this, fight it Matt".

Her words had no effect, the beast slowly moved towards her, growling louder looking like it was ready to attack.

"You promised you'll never hurt me, this isn't you, fight it Matt, fight it"

It was as if Mathew could hear her something was happening, the beast was struggling with itself.

"Lady stay away!!!", the butcher yelled Kate ran towards it. A bold move or a very stupid one.

He started to transform slowly as she held him in her arms.

"What happened? Where am I?"

"Don't worry, I got you, you're safe"

They had a long way to go in taming the beast but as long as she had him and him her, they could overcome it.

Love conquers all, you've shown it quite well in your story.
It is not easy to tame a beast, it takes time but it's not impossible.
Matthew and Kate have a long way to go.

So sweet that Kate believed in the power of her love to such an extent that she was willing to risk life and limb. Your story is packed with tension and very well paced. The resolution is delightfully enchanting. Nice!
