WHY TODAY?

He told me he'd be back on Thursday, but today, which was a significant and special day for me, turned out to be a dreadful day. I arrived at the location, that the strange man sent as an SMS to my phone; looking at the CD in my hand, I wondered why he requested just a CD of all the things to bring along with me. I just hoped it was not what I was thinking.

Everywhere was dark, and the place looked like a secluded place, away from other houses; there was a house just ahead of it- I knew it would be the house; it perfectly displayed the description sent to me. It was a beautiful upstairs with a gate at the front; the house was fenced around with flowers planted around it. The house was so beautiful that I had to ask myself why this place of the places? I was here alone, just on time, waiting for the unknown.
This wasn't how I planned my day to be, but I had to stick to the instructions on the SMS because, all I want is for my husband to be safe, and that's why I didn't want the police to be involved. I quickly walked ahead towards the black gate, expecting it to be locked but it was opened. I entered in and closed the gate behind me.

I put on my phone flashlight as I walked into the basement of the building, my phone rang for the 3rd time today, and I quickly answered it.
"I can see that you've arrived; now, do you have the CD?"

"Yes I have it here with me, but I need to see my husband first".

"How well dressed and ready are you?" he asked

"I did everything as you instructed; please release my husband," I pleaded in tears.

"Remove the CD from the pack, put it on the ground, and follow the next instruction, and oh, don't try to act funny; my eyes are on you."

" Done," I replied after doing as instructed, with my body shaking as if I had been poured cold water on my skin.

"Good girl...now follow each light by the corridor and wait for me there; I will bring your husband after getting what I want," he answered.

"This was not our plan" I shouted on the phone, "what if you don't keep to your words?"

Ohhh..I changed the plan and yes I keep to my word provided you do what I say, now move before I change my mind"

I followed the light lined by the corridor and met a closed door at the end, opening the door, I saw a man neatly dressed and holding a bouquet in his hands, standing beside a candlelight table, my heart almost skipped until I saw who it was

JOSH!!!!

"Happy birthday Amor," He said with a sheepy smile.

What!!! Are you cra*zy?? I shouted with my hand clinging to my heart- my heart was racing so fast.

"I hope you love the surprise?" Josh said, grinning. "I will apologize properly later, I just needed to do something out of the usual, but this is what you get for marrying a private investigator." He said with a funny sad face that I couldn't resist, and oh, Manson did a good job; it seemed he had just passed his last training. I told him to go home immediately after work, I am fully aware of what you can do to him right now." He added with a smirk on his face.

That boy!! I clench my hands together and raise one hand beside my face. I'm going to butcher my junior brother for playing along with him.
"I mean, is this supposed to be one of your work as a private investigator? Did you just use me for Mason training?" I asked.
"I'm sorry love, we couldn't find a better opportunity than this, but you don't need to spoil the moment now," Josh answered as he came closer and hugged me.

Opoos! I forgot to add that Josh bought the house and told me it's ours. Man is so full of surprises.😁
