The relationship between my diary /notepad
I’m so excited that this particular topic is chosen for this weeks prompt ,so today guys I would be telling you about the relationship or rather say connection I have with my diary .
Growing up as a kid I am not someone that likes opening up to people so I developed this habit of writing in my journal or whenever I’m feeling down .
While I was in secondary school (boarding house) phones were not usually allowed so ,I bought a mini diary and started jotting some things down so I won’t forget .
This mini diary was always found in my class locker or inside my bag.my classmate were always asking me what’s in this diary that I don’t want anybody to see it but I told them nothing interesting that they should forget about it because I would never give it out for someone else to read ,that’s my privacy .
Because of this statement my classmate got angry and made a plan that they would steal my locker key from me and get my diary when asleep.when I got to the hostel that night I took my bath and went straight to my bed to sleep only for me to wake up the next morning and I couldn’t find my key ,I started thinking where I have dropped the key but nothing came to my mind so , I just ignored it and went ahead with the normal school activities.
I went to the class after our breakfast only to find my classmate by my locker laughing and making mockery of me that they have finally found the diary which I was hiding from them with the anger in me I went to snatch the diary from them but i was not able to so I started crying and begging them to return my diary but my pleading fell on deft ear.
Luckily for me a teacher came inside the class and asked us what was the noise all about and I told her instead of her to scold the students she blamed me for having a diary in secondary school.i was so embarrassed and from that day onward I vowed never to own a diary again.
But when I graduated from secondary school i got an android phone and started writing on my note pad and i made sure to lock my diary with a code so incase anyone one get access to my phone they won’t be able to gain access to my note pad .
Writing inside my note pad has really saved me from so many things ,like talking to people that i am not supposed to talk to .so i just head straight to my note pad and pour out my feelings there instead out venting them out on someone which i might regret later .
This note pad has really been my best friend since I graduated and i would love to recommend it those that find it hard to keep freinds or get into a good conversation or that can not control their anger when they are mad over someone.
Always make sure to lock your note pad or your diary keep it save from people so they won’t gain access to it and know things about you .
Note pad is not only a place that i write things when i am sad ,but its my best place for storing important information like ,passwords, people birthdays, notes in school and lot more .
If you read my blog to the end let me know the kind of relationship you have with your note pad or diary.
Do you cherish and protect your notepad like I do also ?
Are you also a lover of notepad?did you experience any negative feelings from your secondary school like me?
Let me know in the comments.
Hope you enjoyed my response for this week prompt.
See you guys next time ,thanks for taking time and reading this blog to the end .
Bye.

Hive Power Up Day - June 1st 2024

Hi @mimidoo1. It appears you may need some instruction on our community and short story writing. In The Ink Well, we only accept short stories. These can be "creative nonfiction" short stories or they can be fictional short stories. "Fiction" means the story is made up from your imagination, like "once upon a time" stories you may have read as a child.

Each week we post one fiction short story prompt and one creative nonfiction short story prompt. The "diary" prompt is for a fictional short story. So this should be a story made up from your imagination.

Please see the following resources for more information.

Please also be sure to read our community rules at the top of The Ink Well community home page. Thank you.

I also had a mini notepad while growing up and it was my sister that saw it and everything that was written in it ever since then i never kept a note pad again hehehe

I didn't get used to keeping a diary but I have friends who use it every day. It's just that writing is therapeutic and can help to let go of emotions.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience even though this is an invitation to write fiction, I liked the way you wrote it.
Regards @mimidoo1
