My solo date ( a me-time) turned out to be the most amazing weekend ever in 2023

Time is money! Time is precious! Time is golden! And it must be treated as such, but what happens when there is so much to spend your time on, work! Relationship! And the most important thing to spend time on is being robbed of that quality time.

This is the feeling I had after working my ass off that day. It was a rainy day and the traffic was hell, I couldn't help but find a place to stay for the rain to subside before catching on a bus.

A brief introduction about me:

My name is Big Mary, I worked with one of the biggest telecommunications firms in Lagos. I am in my early twenties and I am a very effective, lucrative, and time-conscious person.

Making judicious use of my time is one of the best things that has happened to me in life and it has helped me in every aspect of my life.

The last six months has been one of the best moment of my life, and it's going on a vacation with my family to Botswana, one of the most beautiful African countries, and I am so glad to be the master planner of the vacation.

A me-time (I intend):

I think going on a solo date is not a bad idea… I said to myself as I reminisced about the last date with the girls. Tomorrow is not a bad idea! I said and smiled to myself.

I ordered a ride to Ocean Basket at Victoria Island, and I got there, I love the idea of the solo date and at the same time, it feels so weird, to sit in a cozy and fancy restaurant like Ocean Basket alone.

I ordered a calamari and strawberry cocktail, I was eating in silence, scrolling down my Instagram timeline, when a young handsome dude walked in…

Do you mind me sitting with you? He asked.?

Rolling my eyeball, I said, Why would I say no to a guy that smells this nice"...

"Dave"... He beamed a smile
"Big Mary"... I replied

He smiled and we got into a conversation… He was so generous, handsome,e and matured in the way he talk. I was supposed to go to the cinema after leaving ocean basket I said… We went to Ikeja Mall and this stranger seems to be like a friend I have known for ages, the vibe is just so cool and lovely.

It was a two hours movie and after watching the movie, I told him I want to go to the spa and then probably an evening boat cruise, and he consented.

I got an amazing massage, and facials and got my nails done. He also got a massage and waxing, and he was abiut doing his facials when he got an emergency call from his friend.

We exchanged contacts and he walked out of the spa to catch a bus.

Subsequently, I went on a boat cruise alone.. The serenity of the ocean, the view and the gentle breeze blowing on my skin gives me an inexplicable peace of mind... It is one of the best weekends so far in 2023 and I enjoyed every bit of it.. It was an adventure I would never forget.

You really had a good day and for a stranger to be much available for the kind gesture is such a blessing

Ohhh here's another sucker for fragrance, I can literally be friends with someone just because they smell nice, like c'mon what's not there to love about a man with a nice fragrance.

Oh dear Lord please send me my own stranger😊😊

How lucky you were! Sometimes dating strangers doesn't end so well. I too think we need to make time for each other. We need to relax, pay attention to ourselves, fill ourselves with gifts and pamper ourselves. I think I'm going to follow your example and take a few days to myself. Thanks for sharing with us your experience. Regards
