Lets elope and go somewhere far away. She said, while she sob in tears in the arms of Chinedu. Hauwa and Chinedu are two love birds, their love story started in their third year in the university. Hauwa was looking for a book in the library and seem not to find it. A tall handsome boy with a good sense of humor who happen to be chinedu saved her from her wandering in the library.

🤣🤣🤣, the groom ran till he forgot his bride. He shouldn't have done that and I guess someone leaked the secret to her father. Nice story but it is short, you have left us in suspense, you need to let us know what finally happened between Chinedu and Hauwa.

Nice story.

Oh my, I didn't see that coming 😂
I didn't envisage Hauwa's father storming his own daughter's wedding with a shotgun.

But seriously, the conflict between the Hausas and Igbos in Nigeria should be done away with already. Until these two major tribes learn to live in harmony, the country might never progress.

That was too bad! The boy shouldn't have run but face the girl's father. This was the father who should have #Run

This is a very inventive interpretation of the prompt. It is all the more enjoyable because it gives readers insight to the Igbo and Hausa cultures. It seems that young man and woman will marry eventually. The father cannot watch his daughter 24 hours a day, every day.

That plan did not go well for Chinedu and Hauwa! That's amazing that the father knew, just from Chinedu's name, that he is from a different culture. How sad. But it's a good story.

That's amazing. And that detail really works well in your story.

Oh dear! Hauwa's father showed up at the last minute when I was already excited for the lovebirds. The funny part was when Chinedu ran for his dear life but left his bride behind. No matter, she's safe unlike him, lol!

It's a pity this cultural prejudice still exist in our society today. Nicely written! 🙂

No way!

I thought they would make it. I feel sorry for Hauwa and relieved for Chinedu. But I think he should have plucked up his courage and confronted the girl's father.

In the end he must defend his love.

Great story. thanks for sharing.

First the blossoming of young love which because a forever love and then became the runaway groom
Aiaiai
What happens now?
Has he stopped running and will he come back for his bride?
Or is this the end of the love story?

I enjoyed the read ;D
