Not everyone is trustworthy

I don't know when my habit of trusting people without reason will end, although I have been deceived a lot in my life because of this habit. I will give you an example of this in today's story.

I used to live with my grandparents. When I moved back to my parents' house, my mother hired a new maid. I felt like the maid was a member of our family, but my mother often told me to stay away from the maid because she was not like your sisters, she came from another house and her way of life was different. You are still too young to understand these things.

One day, the maid came into our house and started crying. My mother asked me,

"Shabnam, why are you crying?" My mother was sitting on the bed and Shabnam was sitting on the chair. I was standing and listening to their conversation. I had a teacup in my hand.

Shabnam started telling her story "Madam, I belong to a poor family. It takes me a lot of time to come here and there and my house rent also costs a lot. I want you to make me live in your house so that my unnecessary expenses will be reduced and I will never let you down I only have 1 kid with me I don't have a husband I can take care of my house and my children I can not leave my child alone please give me place anywhere in your home even I am satisfied to live within store room"

I felt pity for her after hearing this. I tried many ways to convince my mother and finally, she was convinced that we should let her live in the last room of the house, which is separate from the rest of the house.
Shabnam knew that I was the easiest person to get melt in this house, and she had successfully tricked her victim(me).

I made this decision despite my mother's objections. Now she has started living in our house.

One day my father and brother went out of town for some work, leaving only me, my sister, and my mother. We decided that the three of us would sleep in the same room.

The three of us slept late at night, but when we woke up in the morning, our eyes were wide with surprise. My mother woke up first.

She shook my sister so hard that she woke her up and shouted to me, "Mishiiiii, get up." I was so scared to hear my mother's irate voice that I sat up with sleepy eyes, but my sister was already used to this I was astonished to see she was still sleeping so calmly.

I woke up and looked at the room in surprise. All the drawers and cupboards in the room were open and everything inside was missing. When my sister and I checked, the same thing happened in all the other rooms, meaning that our house had been robbed while we were asleep.

After seeing this, my sister started saying "Mom the thief loved us so much that he took everything from here without harming us and didn't even wake us up😂" Mom glared at my sister with a very scary look.

My mother quickly told my father the whole story. During all this, Shabnam was working in our house just like she used to do before. My mother had also told me three times that she doubted Shabnam, but I had a lot of faith in Shabnam.

After my brother and father arrived, we called the police to the house and immediately began searching the house. The police had a dog that searched the entire house. The policeman told Father "First our dog will sniff out the things that are missing and then everyone in the house will be searched."The dog sniffed all the drawers that were already open and then he started sniffing the whole house after sniffing around the house, when he reached the last room of the house where Shabnam and her daughter used to live, he went there, sat down and started barking. Now Shaban was in front of us with obvious evidence.

Shabnam still did not accept her guilt because we didn't find anything stolen in her room we do not know where he sent the goods overnight.

Shabnam, now your truth has come before us, don't try to be innocent, my mother said.

Madam, don't doubt me. I didn't steal anything from your house. If I had, I would have left after taking the things. Shabnam replied

Now, this conversation between her and her mother was going on when the police officer took out a piece of jewelry from Shabnam's cupboard, which belonged to my sister, and put it in front of us and asked who it belonged to. My sister jumped up and said,"This is mine. My friend gifted it to me, and it was in the same drawers that were open."

Shabnam quickly stepped forward to cover up her lie and started speaking. She said, "Madam, I found this fallen on the ground while cleaning, so I kept it with me." I felt sorry that the one I trusted was lying to cover up her lies. The police, while listening to her, said, "Bibi, whatever the reality is regarding you, proceed to the police station and clarify yourself there" Shabnam looked at her mother and said, "I didn't do anything sinful. I didn't deserve this punishment."

The mother glanced at her child, who was watching the incident with great astonishment, perhaps feeling embarrassed. Instead of escalating the matter, the mother ordered the police to go and said, "This is our family matter, now we will take care of it ourselves." The police left, after which the mother gave Shabnam some money and sent her away from the house, saying that she should not make this mistake again at anyone's house. Everyone will save her from the police and not care about her child.

This was the day when I suffered a great loss, not only for myself but also for the entire family, for not following my mother's advice.

That's always the problem of trusting too much. At least you've learnt an important lesson from that experience not to trust like that again. Shabnam was lucky you're mother excluded the police from the matter she might have faced serious consequences for her actions. Thanks for writing.

Exactly my mom this action is such a kind thing she does with her. Thanks for stopping by.
