RE: Evergreen And Everlasting Traditions (It's time to make the holidays bright for others)

Fiction is totally out of my wheelhouse, but it comes naturally to you, and you are so creative with it. Well, strangely enough, as I write this, Mey-Yii is playing in our house, but she's been absent for a few months since her mother and stepdad began living in the village with her Grandma.

We are not sure of the circumstances, but she is no longer close with us like before, and now she only comes to visit when she needs something from us. Her behavior seems to have gone downhill a bit, I assume because she now has three negative adult influences in her life. She's clearly put some distance in between herself and us, but we are still here and waiting should she ever need a positive space with guidance again.

I didn't tell her about this post, but when the post payout arrives I will tally it up and give her the Cambodian riel equivalent of the dollar amount and let her know the purpose of this post and your intentions. Of course I will document because that is what Hive is all about, and perhaps if she stays in touch with us, I can eventually show what she used the funds for.

You have a big heart my friend, this post kind of left me speechless, but you don't need to talk to read, so......yeah. Thank you for being so positive and full of Christmas spirit, hopefully it will remind Mey-Yii that there are still plenty of people who care.

I'm glad she is still in your lives, hopefully she will become close again. I was really thinking that with her family, it would be better for you to buy the things she needs or would like, rather than give her the money. Her relatives will probably just take it for themselves otherwise :( ...

Geez, I hadn't thought of that, but it would've entered my mind as we prepared to walk over to her place and fork over some cash, something in my mind would tell me that's not a good idea for the reasons you've mentioned.

Hmmm....well, I think perhaps it's best to get her opinions on some things she wants, and judge how much the post rewards are, and try to sync things up. You're right, they'd surely swipe the cash from her, and even if they didn't, she's never been taught how to budget money, and my kids often see her at school with ten times the amount of money parents normally send kids to school with, but at the end of she's broke.

Considering Mey-Yii would likely spend the money on energy drinks, we'll really try and figure out something she needs that will benefit her and give her some longterm enjoyment and usefulness. It looks as though this post will be roughly $8 in rewards, so that already gives a good number to work with. Stay tuned.......

She did find transportation to school??? I'm glad to hear that :) You mentioned Mey-Yii needs clothes, so I assume a nice outfit should be included? They can't very well take something like that to use themselves 😂 And definitely ask her opinions about something useful and enjoyable she would like to own :) I think if the price goes over, something can be arranged to cover it :)

Also someone asked if she was on Hive. I wonder if an account might be very educational for her, if she has Internet access?
