Her eyes looked faraway at nothingness as the waves of the sea welcomed her... embracing her whole, but she didn't feel the embrace as all she felt was nothing, and then, the thoughts started coming in full force, "Dang it". She dislikes it when she can't get her thoughts fixed like a normal person. Sighing deeply, her face scrunched up in bewilderment as one of her thoughts overtook others and came out as a word, "What's going to happen now?"
Her hands secretly found their ways to her hair, pulling hard on it. She knew she can not forsake her "dreams" but she has to choose if she'd send a reply to mail she received, "I am sorry, I won't be able to..." Shaking her head continuously, she grimaced. "That doesn't sound nice, does it?" She questioned the mild air that pricks into her skin.
Looking at the heaven, Adele placed her hands on her hip with her legs ajar like a mother in a melancholy... of course, she is in a melancholy, but she isn't a mother, and that thought alone made her shiver as her mind, as if in a race, took her 4 years earlier when things were... when things were... closing her eyes briefly, she let her mind do as will as the waves of the sea a music in the background of her past years with him.
4 Years Earlier.
"Hello, sleeping beauty. It is time to rise and shine." A deep familiar baritone voice said cheerfully.
Smiling sheepishly, she pretended to be asleep, ignoring his greetings.
"Oh, dearest, me! My Adele must be dreaming with that smile on her face. It must be about us, but which scene exactly are you seeing in your dreams now because I was hoping it is a scene that shows me eating scrambled eggs and coffee, oh that creamy little..."
"Don't you dare touch my coffee". Adele responded with a smile on her face, cutting off her fiancé's speech.
"But... you were asleep some seconds ago! How did you hear me? Are you a superwoman? Oh, please don't tell me I am with a..."
Throwing a pillow at him, Adele jumped on her fiance, Edward, as he tickled her. Uncontrollable laughs left her lips, and he couldn't help but smile at her. "I made breakfast but it is not in bed, it is in the kitchen." Edward said, holding on to the laugh that almost escaped him.
"You naughty boy, let's go to the kitchen lover boy, you know you need to go to work soon." Adele replied, holding his hands as they got to the kitchen. Sitting down, then both ate while throwing small jokes to themselves.
"Just 5 days to our wedding. You know we can't see each other again?" Adele said, eyeing Edward, who seemed to find interest in the scrambled eggs when she spoke.
"Baby... come on! I'll be going to my parents' place and you know you can't come over. It is a taboo for us to see each other a few days before our wedding, and you know this. Hmm?" She added, playing with his fingers.
Nodding his head, Edward replied, "Okay, but can we do a video call instead?" He questioned with a smile.
"You'll be the death of me, of course not! We can't see each other, but we can always talk." Adele replied with a laugh.
After some additional little discussions, Edward dressed up and left for work.
Some Minutes Later.
She heard a phone ringing as she packed her bag to leave the house. "Oh, goodness. Don't tell me he intentionally left his phone so he could see me." Adele said with a smile. Picking up her fiancé's phone, she picked up the call when the phone rang again.
"Don't you think it is very unfair leaving me alone to care for the kid? You promised to be here yesterday, Eddie. I understand that you have to be with your wife, but your attention is..."
Whatever the person was saying seemed to be lost in Adele's world as strange tears glistened her eyes. Her heart moved as if in a trance as her body hit the floor, darkness overcame her, and that was the last thing she remembered.
At The Hospital.
Adele opened her eyes, then shut it. "Switch off the light Edw..." It was then that memories of the call came very sharp into her mind. Standing up from the hospital bed, she saw her parents beside her.
"Mom, Dad...Why are you guys here?" She questioned, looking at her parents.
"Your mum and I decided to surprise you by picking you up, but met you passed out on the floor. It is good you are awake."Her dad spoke while her mum, on the other hand, was crying.
"I am fine, let's go home. We will talk when we..."
"Baby... are you okay?" A familiar voice said, cutting her sentence short. "I went home and saw my phone on..."
"When were you going to tell me you had a child?" Adele asked with tears in her eyes.
"Adele, it is not what you think. I can explain..." Edward said, going closer to her bed when she stopped him.
"Please, don't explain, and this wedding is over. Dad, please, I don't want to see him." Adele said, and that was the last time she ever saw him. She had traveled to another country some days later to start over.
However, a few months later, she had gotten to know from her mother that the child was not his. His sister Mary had traveled for 2 days, and she had asked her friend to look over her child, saying her brother Eddie would come over to take the child later.
She remembered him telling her something like that a night before, but she was already sleeping. Pain struck her when she realized she had hurt him.
Her Reality.
She had received a mail at Showing You What Is Real, an advertisement company she dreamt of working in. She had sent her C.v there, and an email was sent to her to resume work the next day.
In her happy state, she had checked the C.E.O of the company and saw that Edward owned the company.
After much thought, she opened her purse and searched for Edwards' number, pressing the call button. She heard it ring before a familiar voice came in.
"Thanks for calling me Adele, I knew it must have been very hard. I still believe we can work things out. Let's meet tomorrow, okay?"
Tears filled her eyes as she nodded before speaking. "I am sorry Eddie, I didn't mean to..."
"Shhh, just come over, okay?"
"I'll be there." She responded with a long sigh.
Awww, at least she was not strong headed the second time around. Love lost and reconnected is usually quite sweeter😁
Yeah, she wasn't, and that's so good for her.
I agree
I'm so glad Adele realized her mistake and that Eddie still wanted to work things out with her. This has been a very moving story with a beautiful ending. Good job.
Yeah, it is amazing she did, and it is good Eddie still see a future with them. Thanks for stopping by 😊.

Interesting story, in life emotions can play a trick on us, and although it is true that the truth can sometimes hurt, it is better to face it and know the direction we should take. Adele didn't give her fiancé that chance, but her fiancé did learn to wait, didn't get carried away by his emotions, and showed that his commitment was real.
Good job.
Yes, it is better to face the truth than hurting ourselves with endless unconfirmed thoughts.
It is very good he waited. That's to show the deep feeling he still has for her.

Acting hastily without explanation cost this female character four years of suffering. But in the end she achieves two dreams in a very beneficial way.
Yes, she did achieve two dreams at the end. Thanks for reading.
Why would she not accept his child if the child actually was his. I think Adele has strict rules for herself. Anyway, it is good that Adele realized her mistake, and it didn't take too long for her to understand there was a mistake. And Edward was very understanding and kind that he wanted to go back to Adele. Fate brought them together again.
Yes, she is stubborn and knowing she didn't tell him about having a child some days to their wedding isn't that nice. She learned the hard way, but it is nice Edward still wants her.
A very well written and moving story. Like life itself; sometimes we have happiness at our fingertips and we complicate everything.
Greetings
Yes, sometimes we complicate things that are very simple to act upon.
This is life. Greetings

Thanks for reading
Sometimes it's always good to LISTEN before making hasty decisions. It's a good thing Edward is willing to see her after she left him without listening to what he had to say.
I hope she learned her lesson and try to be more patient moving forward.
Thank you for sharing this. #dreemerforlife
I hope she does, too. Thanks for stopping by !luv ly #dreemer.
