Let’s Find Alhaji!

Baba Landlord got to his ongoing building and the gate was locked. He could not gain access into his own building. This is the third time in a row when Baba Landlord will be coming to his ongoing building and he won’t gain access into the building. There was no one he could talk to since Alhaji, the house caretaker isn’t around and also not picking up Baba Landlord’s calls.
Mama Alagbo lives opposite the building but doesn’t talk so much with the landlord.
Baba Landlord doesn’t know what to do so he approached Mama Alagbo and asked her about the last time Alhaji, the caretaker came to the house.

Good afternoon, Mama Alagbo. Do you have an idea about the last time Alhaji came to this building?, Baba Landlord asked.
Mama Alagbo shook her head in disapproval. It meant that it’s been a while since Alhaji went to that building. Baba Landlord became very sad.

He gave Alhaji over five thousand dollars to continue the construction of the building because he doesn’t reside in the state but there was no progress. Alhaji is nowhere to be found and he doesn’t pick calls anymore. What will Baba Landlord do?
Unknowingly to Alhaji, Baba Landlord now resides in Lagos to monitor his building. He wants to get to the root of the matter. Baba Landlord needs to know why there was no progress despite how much he gives to Alhaji everytime when it is needed.

I come here everyday to see my house locked and uncompleted when it is supposed to be a complete building now. What is going on, Baba Landlord yelled out after he has been coming to that house for over ten days and there was no improvement or no sight of Alhaji.
Baba Landlord doesn’t want to give up on this issue. He needs to know what Alhaji has done with his money.

Mama Alagbo, I will be needing your help. Can you please let me know if Alhaji comes to this house?, Baba Landlord asked. Immediately, he and Mama Alagbo made a deal and all their eyes were on Alhaji. Now, Alhaji is secretly wanted by some people.

Finally, Alhaji came to the uncompleted building. Mama Alagbo who was to be trusted by Baba Landlord hinted Alhaji that he’s been wanted by Baba Landlord. Immediately Alhaji was told, he fled.
Who knows what is between Alhaji and Mama Alagbo for her to tell him that Baba Landlord is in search of him.

Luckily, Baba Landlord got to the building but when he got there, Alhaji was driving out of the building already.
Mama Alagbo, I saw someone drive out of the building. Is that Alhaji, Baba Landlord rushed out of his car to ask Mama Alagbo if that was Alhaji but he was betrayed.

No Baba. That car didn’t come out of your building, he was shocked to hear that from Mama Alagbo. He trusted her and that’s why he wanted her to be a spy but she betrayed him. He drove off and burst into tears when he got to his hotel room. He never knew that Mama Alagbo could betray him.

I have to get to the root of this case. Who knows what Alhaji has done with my money. I will make sure not to back down, Baba Landlord in his hotel room was lamenting and feeling sad because he has trusted the wrong person and now, his money is gone and cannot even access his property.

He then brought up an idea of employing spies so they can call him if Alhaji is in the building. That happened so fast. They were able to get Alhaji on the third day. Baba Landlord drove fast from his hotel when he was called that Alhaji has been found.

You this man! Where is my money? Do you think I wasn’t going to get you? Why is my building not completed yet, Right there, Baba Landlord asked over ten different questions from Alhaji.

I’m very sorry sir. I used the money for something important, while talking, the police officers that Baba Landlord had invited got there and they arrested Alhaji.
Mama Alagbo could not move close to the building because she had already betrayed Baba Landlord.

Alhaji was arrested and was asked to pay back the money he is owing Baba Landlord including some extra fines. Alhaji spent three weeks in police detention and he was bailed by his family members since they paid Baba Landlord his money.
Baba Landlord was happy that he didn’t back down because if he did, he may not get his property anymore.
