"There is no amount of words you will say to me that can make me back down," Dan said furiously.
"Don't worry, I will fire you and frustrate you until you leave that piece of land for me. You know I'm influential," Mr. Lucky, who was so adamant and was not ready to let go of what did not belong to him, brags.
“I don’t care if you are influential or have people who can back you up. All that I know is that what belongs to me is mine but not someone else," Dan fired back at Mr. Lucky.
“Don’t worry, we shall see," Mr. Lucky threw words back at Dan.
“Even if you like to use dark powers, I will never back down,” Dan angrily declared.

Dan owns a piece of land given to him by his late dad. He has been securing the land for a very long time now until he moved to the city for greener pastures. This land has been his last hope and the one he always lived to remember his dad. He is the only child of his dad. Now his mom has been the one farming on the land just for security purposes.
Mr. Lucky, on the other hand, has been a great man who has a lot of money through dubious means. The means of making his wealth is unclear to everyone. Some say he's a ritualist, while others say he's a politician, but he's not who they thought he was. Mr. Dan is a tout and someone who reaps people of their hard earnings. He claims people's properties even though the community has a king. He had used a dark power to close the eyes of the king and the kinsmen. No one has the power to talk to him anyhow.
Mr. Lucky moved around the four corners of the community and was looking for means of claiming the piece of land that rightfully belonged to Dan. One day he got to the land and met some boys clearing. “What are you doing in my piece of land?" he asked adamantly.
The boys clearing the land were looking surprised. “But, sir, we were mandated to clear the land.”.
“Ordered by who?” Mr. Lucky said, raising his voice so high and without fear.
“By Mrs. Amaechi," the boys replied in unison.
“Who's Mrs. Amaechi?” Mr. Lucky asked.
“Dan’s mom, sir.". One of the boys said.
“I’m ordering you guys to leave at once.". He was ready to take the piece of land violently. The guys were not ready to face the wrath of Mr. Lucky, so they decided to escape into the thin air with a trace of their footsteps. They informed Mrs. Amaechi of what had happened.
“Son, you have to back down. I need you most, as I'm not ready to lose you for any reason. You are my only child." Dan’s mom was so passionate about her only son as she spoke on the phone.

“Over my dead body would I leave my land for Mr. Lucky. He has exceeded his boundaries, and maybe he needed someone to put a lasting end to his madness." Dan was angry while speaking to his mom on the phone. After two days, he decided to travel from the city to the village just to see things by himself. Immediately he arrived, he dashed to the land and planted some plant suckers. “Let's see how he uproots these things I have planted; then he would have himself to blame for stepping into my piece of land." He was fearless of what her mom said was ahead of him.

The next day, Mr. Lucky sent his boys to take a look at the piece of land just to observe what was happening. They came back with words for Mr. Lucky: “Hey! You have to hold on; let me be through with my food," Mr. Lucky said as he ate the bowl of beans on his table. He drank a full bottle of table water and said, “Now you boy can talk.". They told him exactly what they saw and how they uprooted the plantain suckers from the earth. He was furious and walked to meet his uncle, who is a native doctor.

“Please, uncle, I will need the charm to be placed on my piece of land that one small boy is dragging with me.". His uncle said, “You must not cross the charm after placing it on the earth. You must not spit your saliva on the farmland after placing it. You must not cross the charm you have placed on the earth; you must not let anyone see you while planting the charm. If you fall into two of the above, you will run mad and confess all your evil deeds.". He accepted and took the charm to the farmland at midnight. Meanwhile, a hunter who was still hunting late at night saw a torchlight ahead. He decided to move closer just to see who was in the bush late that night. He knew Mr. Lucky perfectly well and his cruel deeds. When he saw Mr. Lucky, he kept quiet without saying a word. When he was done with what he came for, his stomach hooked him, and he immediately bowed down and excreted. He urinated on the farmland just because he could not hold himself. While coming, he crossed the charm.

He had forgotten that he was given instructions to follow. He broke the rules. Within a few minutes, he began to pull off his clothes. Then the hunter came around and led him home after seeing his condition. He began to confess to what he had done and even in the past. He told everyone how dubious he was and how he made his money through the dubious act. This was how Dan took what was his, and the charm he had placed was removed without harming anyone.
