Little as it may, I am a nature lover, I've always been inspired by it, and its view mesmerizes me every time.
I saved these shots for when I wanna create time to talk about them, fortunately, and unexpectedly, I got invited by a fellow hivers to take part in the weekend discussion Nature And You initiated by @galenkp
Yes! I thought this isn't just an interesting topic but would be a fun ride too.
Luckily for me, I'll be taking this ride and having the fun as well.
So why don't you stick around and let's have fun together? Shall we?.
WHEN?
Like I mentioned above, I wanted an accurate time to share this, truth is, this was just two days ago.
Yes, I took these shots two days ago, not very long. That was on Wednesday, 1st of December. I did say something about the tour in my last post about my Wednesday walk titled A Walk To Escape The Work. I only shared a few of the nature shots in the post since the article wasn't really all about nature in its true sense or its own.
Today I must say I am quite privileged to share and talk about nature and myself😁 thanks to @galenkp. So what's inspired these shots?
Oh before I answer that question, permit me to tell you where this is.
It's an open field or space in the City of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
It will only take someone who has really toured the city of uyo to be able to recognize this location just by looking at the photos, so if you can't tell where it is, don't worry yourself too much, it's not a very known location 😁
What Inspired These Shots?
If I say nothing exactly I wouldn't be very far from the truth. All I knew is that I just felt like being in the open space. I had a date, a sit out with my friends, they decided to meet and sit out in an eatery but being a nature lover, I had Plan B. My plan was to be executed immediately when the three of us meet in the suggested eatery.
The plan was to grab something from the eatery to keep our mouths busy while we board a public transport down to the field and enjoy ourselves and the beauty of nature
Though the plan got mixed up, but it wasn't a total failure. No, it wasn't. Things didn't go as planned but I still got a chance to visit this place with one of my friends before the other friend finally met up with us.
We spent more than an hour just touring around the whole field and space and taking snapshots of the trees and field and even the roadside.
People may have wondered what we were doing or questioned themselves because here in my country, doing such appears weird to some persons. Like they can't imagine young ladies leaving their home to an open field only to start roaming and taking photographs of the trees and all.
At some points, we had to squat, I specifically had to squat to take a perfect or better shot of whatever I wanted to capture.
I even taught my friend how to take landscape photos and not make them appear too plain or too flat. I may not be a professional, but there are some techniques I apply when I am capturing scenes, to make it a bit cool and not just some haphazard shots.
Soon she got used to capturing the way I do even though not the same. We strolled the peaceful open space, capturing and having good moments.
We got to a point we took a break and just sat in the field but it wasn't for too long.
My friend asked which plant is this and I was like, isn't it obvious that this is a cactus plant? Or don't you also think so? It's very obvious but I don't know if she doesn't know what the cactus plant looks like or she just didn't know such existed lol.
Making fun of my friend huh? Yes maybe, it's new to me that someone wouldn't know what cactus is or what it looks like, isn't that weird? Lol. Maybe not to you.
It got to a point we had to take a break under the flyover structures. There we saw a few other persons resting too under the flyover. The structure provides a good shade against the scorching sun and there we also found shade from the sun. We waited and rested for a while before we started with our photography again.
We spent a good time with nature, personally enjoyed that little walk and tour. Though it wasn't as planned but it still turned out to be good or better than I earlier envisioned it.
It was fun just roaming nature and feeling intoxicated by its beauties.
What a moment spent with nature! We strolled back to where we boarded a public transport back to our destination after a fulfilled day. I wouldn't mind taking this walk over and over again because every time there is always something new to say and of course to capture.
Coming from a nature lover, I feel intoxicated every single time I step out my door into the open space.
And this ends my entry for the weekend's discussion "Nature And You"
Let's hear your part of the story, shall we? Tell us about your moments with nature, check out the rules of the discussion here

You like to take pictures with the phone tilted at an angle? Lol all of the pics were angled! 🤣
Looks like a nice place for sure! I like that interesting bush you didn’t know what kind of plant it was.
Yes🤣😂 I love it that way. It's funny that you could easily tell how I placed my phone.
Looks like you are a good photographer lol
