The Difficulty of Raising Children || week 231

Life has changed from 30 years ago to what it is today and I believe that education has also changed, educating children I think it has never been easy in any era, I was once a daughter and now I am a mother and there are things that I am very grateful for my upbringing.

One of the things that I think have changed is the values, as parents we must instill values to our children from an early age and raise them with respect, responsibility, loyalty, love, justice among others, but today there are parents who do not instill in their children some values so that in society we find people who lack them.

Nowadays technology although it is good has made havoc in the education of children, because now with social networks and different Internet pages, some are educated through them, and have no control to guide their children, I have seen parents give a phone to their children from the age of two years old to entertain them, and when the child is four years old he knows how to drive and see things that in our time we would imagine.

Another thing that has made it more difficult to raise children today is the economic situation at least in Venezuela, inflation, instability, the rising cost of living makes parents are away from home a lot of time working and therefore there are many children alone at home or raised by relatives and not by parents, on the other hand there is also the migration of people seeking better quality of life to leave children without parents, without a real upbringing of what a family is and therefore many dysfunctional families have been created.

I believe many times that in previous times it was much easier to raise children, today society has changed, but I believe that values and good manners must prevail and here is the most important role of us parents because creating happy children, educated, good people to build a better society depends on each of us, I thank God for my children and my family and I hope we are raising under the good principles and morals that were taught to me.
