Lots of peope lack exercise these days and it is what I think I lacked and is cause of my sickness. I simply do not think I had the time to do it because of my responsibilities until it took the toll on me and now I'm in pain and coughing so hard. Though there were times when I got okay yet I get sick easily already.
Since I got sick in September, I always looked forward to weekends for rest(and doing the laundry) but last weekend was different and I get to witness these kids practice in boxing. My husband tagged me along with him in our teacher's house (he was out elementary teacher) for lunch but little did I know, he would be coaching high school athletes who will play at the district level the following Friday.
I don't know whether my husband just wanted to tag me along or he wanted to encourage me practice, he did train me way back when we were not this busy and it was amazing. A few months ago, even a simple exercise I cannot do, and would not do because I would feel pain in my body. But I guess that's how it should go and I am just glad that tonight, I had the courage to do it. I made my first step and I hipe I would be disciplined enough to do it everyday.
Anyway, we went to thier house at 11 am, glad I fed my son his lunch before we went there because the lady who was in the house did not notice the time and gave the kids lunch at 1pm. Honestly, they were too weak to perform and my dear husband borrowed the only money I brought to buy them bread and juice. Only then they had he strength to do the hard work at their practice. It was fun seeing them enjoying the practice and I envied them foe sweating a lot for a little activity. I never sweated that much for some time now and I know I needed to do it for me to be okay and be healthy
The boys started with few streches and then they went shadow fighting for three minutes in 5cycles and then the husband worked with 3cycles of 2minute punchmitts with them. The boys got tired fasst and only then the lady in the house gave them lunch when they were about to go home.
It was already 2 pm when the pricipal arrived from the city and invited us for lunch. I was already hungry at that time and so we went to and listened to the principal's stories about his health, his past and how string he was back then. It was amazing how people had so many experiences!
He said he used to be a very strong man but due to lifestyle changes, less exercise, beer and food he took over the years when he got a job, he now had high blood sugar and more abnormalities but I am glad he didn't have to take insulin yet and is taking herbal medicine to lower his blood sugar and I hope it works because it was pricey. Lol.
Anyway, we asked to leave soon after our lunch, the husband was done with his work already and we won't be doing anything anymore but the talk just got better and so he went out in his gate to talk some more when my husband prepared his motorcycle.
It would have been very nice to chat a little more but we still has things to do and so we left after bidding goodbye. That visit was a bit unexpected but I had a. Great time watching the boys do it and it did encourage me to give a little more and make way for exercises for me.
Most people lack exercise due to technology these days, some kids were even hunched looking at their phones the whole day.
