WEEKEND-ENGAGEMENT #164: Let's Talk about Cheating and my Experiences

In relationships, there are many unexpected things that you will experience. Before you enter into a relationship, you should first know that not all love stories end in good and happy relationships. Always remember that you will just experience a happy relationship in the beginning, but when the time comes, you will both experience trials, problems, and/or tests to see if you can really fight your love for each other. Some people have passed the test, and they really prove in front of God that they deserve each other and that they are the one. But some people fail because they give up; they feel tired and fed up fighting their relationship.

Of course, I also experienced falling in love. I also learned a lot about love. From having a crush to puppy love, and any different situations in relationships with men

If you ask me when I started to have my first boyfriend, I started to have my first boyfriend when I was 12 years old. Yeah, right. I was still young at that time. As a young girl, I was also curious about How to have the feeling of having a boyfriend. A lot of imaginations came into my mind, like movies and fantasies that we always watched on Television. But that is only my thought. And just like what happened in the movies, in real life, you will experience some pain and heartbreak.

Why am I telling you all of these?

Because for today's weekend blog, I will answer one question that @galenkp gave us. Which is all about Cheating.

and these three questions are my choices for what to write. I decided to choose question number one because it reminds me of something in my past.

Actually, all of my past relationships ended because of cheating. They cheated on me with another girl. Some say that if your Father is a cheater, he will not receive karma, but instead it will be passed on to his daughters, and what an unlucky life for me because I was the one who suffered for all my Father's sins.

Anyway, after I read the questions, The number one question seems like I can also answer it with question number 3, since it is also the same scenario that I have experienced. Meanwhile, for the second question, I can't answer it since I never saw myself as a cheater, and I don't plan on being one.

Nine years ago, I experienced my first heartbreak because of cheating. It's when I have been in a relationship for 3 years. Actually, we're not legal for everyone. No one knows about our relationship except my friend. I was still young back then, and I am not allowed to have a relationship yet. We started our relationship when I was still 12–13 years old, so I was still in Grade 8 (Second year) at that time, and he was in Grade 10 (fourth year of high school), so he is my senior, and let's add the reason why we can't broadcast our relationship that it was also because he was my Older Sister's Classmate.

We dated for three years. Our three-year relationship ended when I caught him. I was in my fourth year of high school, and he was already in his second year of college at that time. One day, I planned to see him. But I saw him in the mall at that time, where I was too. I am surprised to see him there wearing his uniform, and he was with his Classmates at that time, too.

Then, I was about to call his name, but I saw that he is not with a guy alone; there are two girls. So I think it's called a double Date since he is holding the girl's hand while the other guy is carrying the other girl's bag.

Of course, I can't also deny the fact that I am hurt by what I saw.

So what did I do that time when I saw him with another girl? I just hinted that I was there. My presence is enough for him to feel the guilt. I didn't do anything, and for some people, when they catch their loved one with another girl or boy, They will do anything to get their loved ones back, right? They even cry in front of them because they are hurt and feel betrayed. But for me, I didn't do anything. I just remained silent that time and let him see me.

I also have some different situations in mind. I was killing him and his new girl inside my mind at that time. I am imagining getting rid of the girl's hair until she becomes bald and slapping my ex-boyfriend's face left and right until his teeth fall to the floor. But I didn't do it.

I was a writer of love stories at that time, which is why I am used to writing long blogs. And I am a fan of reading Wattpad stories, So I know what to do when you catch your lover cheating on you. But unlike those characters and love stories that I read there, I didn't beg for love. I didn't beg him to comeback to me. I didn't become desperate at that time. Instead of doing those things, I saved some respect for myself that time because I don't like to embarrass myself in front of many people.

What's the point of doing that, right? What's the point of stealing him if, in the first place, he already decided to change or replace me?

I can't blame him, though, Because I also made a mistake in our relationship, which was that I couldn't give him what he needed. He want. I am still young for him at that time, and all I can think is that he also deserves someone who is mature like him. The same as his age.

So I let him go. It hurts me, of course, because he didn't break up with me before changing me. He begged me to come back to him that time, but I decided to let him go because I have a golden rule in a relationship: I don't come back to my ex.

Actually, all of my relationships ended up like that. It's easy for them to change me because they can't get what they want. I always caught my ex cheating on me in different places—on their accounts, on their phones, etc.

That's why I haven't had a boyfriend for 5 years and have lost interest in being in a relationship. Last year and this year, I fell in love with someone, but it was just a crush, or should I say, infatuation, since I haven't met him in person yet.

CONCLUSION:

Looking back at those years, I am thankful, though, because I didn't become a desperate person. I chose myself. Rather than staying with the person who can't be loyal and faithful to me, I wonder what my life would be like right now if I continued to be dumb of love for them.

And right now, If ever I date a person, I want it to be Date to Marry. I don't like to date just because someone is bored or wants to kill some time. I like to be in a relationship where he will be my boyfriend until he becomes my husband. Actually, that's been my plan since I was a kid. It's also the reason why I never let my Family meet my ex because it's just puppy love, and we are still young. I want my family to meet the man who will promise them that he will marry me and that he will take care of and love me for the rest of our lives. And those past relationships that I had are not sure yet.
