Hello friends, I hope you are enjoying the weekend. It is too hot here in Cuba and there is no better option than going to the beach. This time I went with my husband's family to one of the beaches in my province: Bailen beach.
We went in a rented bus, the trip took about an hour, but I really enjoyed seeing the natural scenery all the way and feeling the fresh air through the window.
When we got to the beach we didn't waste a moment and went into the water. That day the swell was a little strong so we preferred to be on the shore. I must say that although this beach does not have such white sands and its waters are not crystal clear like others I have visited, it was quite clean and I enjoyed it very much.
Not everyone wanted to get in the water right away as there was a bit of a glare. My mother in law just got her feet wet to be in the picture 😅. I was with my husband, my two sisters-in-law and the youngest girl was my sister-in-law's friend's daughter who went with us as well.
I was taking care of her, I was amazed at how brave she was, because at that age I was terrified of the beach and she was always enjoying herself. My younger sister-in-law, Sabrina, was a little scared when she entered the water but little by little she adapted. Too bad the swell didn't allow us to go a little further in.
Then we took a moment to play in the sand and my husband set about making a sand castle. The way he did it is a technique my dad taught us. What we do is take the sand that is in the water in our hand and let it slip through a hole while we form towers. Little by little the castle takes shape and leaves us with this beautiful result. It is fun to see how high the towers can get, and you can make as many as you want.
Taking advantage of the castle my husband tried to take some perspective pictures. In the first one it looks like I am on top of one of the towers of the castle. But the one I liked the most was the second one, because it makes me look like I'm climbing the castle, but it also managed to capture my two sisters-in-law at the exact moment and they fit perfectly in the castle.
There was a moment where I sat with Sabrina on the sand and we were surrounded by the sea foam, which somehow remained untouched. My husband wanted to take more perspective shots and using a glass full of sand he took this photo, and in the other one it looks like we are sitting on some clouds. They turned out very original in my opinion 😁.
After those funny moments out of the water we went back into the sea and stayed there for a while. When we got out we sat on what looked like the lifeguard stand and from there we admired the beautiful view and the air dried us out a bit.
We had quite a fun day, between the beach and the beauty of nature of my province it was a wonderful trip. It's something that we can do on weekends to have a good time with our families and have a moment of relax.

Family is the most important thing we have, both blood and acquired. Nice post. And the sea...the sea always present and giving hope. Kisses to Sabrina, she is a very brave child!!!!
