For a moment, I was very conflicted. It was impossible to dismiss many other equally important things, but after thinking about it again, since this was just a hypothetical situation, I would still choose my partner based on their job.
In my country, the economy is very difficult, even for those who work in the small business FNB sector, which is becoming less and less promising every year. It's not just people like me; many corporate workers are affected by layoffs due to efficiency measures. Imagine if the person affected by the layoff was the breadwinner of their family? There are children who have to go to school, which is not cheap, there are families who need to keep food on the table so that all family members can live and eat comfortably, there is health to take care of, and much more.
Imagining the gloom of this economy in my country makes me realise that finding a partner with a good and stable job will make us feel a little more comfortable.
If I may add one more point, please, this is also important... it's the way they think. I really like men who think beautifully. You know what I mean? Like when they talk about something. I can even fall in love with someone just from the way they think. But, for a partner, I'm still the same as at the beginning, their job is important...
Well, that's my writing for today's prompt. Actually, there are many other interesting points, but I can't write abo them all, can I? I also enjoy writing about this, as it reminds me about... finding a life partner. LOL.
