Weekend-Engagement Week #235: An Unforgettable Day With Bestie

I'm an indoor person, so I rarely go out. In the past, I mostly just see myself going out when my bestie invites me to do so... or when there are some anime conventions.

Now that my bestie lives faraway, I almost never go out. haha I do go for a walk around my area occasionally for exercise, but the last time I went out for fun was May of this year. It was when I went to the theater with my cousin. haha

My bestie and I enjoy getting wonderfully lost. We used to explore the countryside, specifically the southern part of Cebu. On one occasion, we went to Alegria in the south.

We didn't book any place in advance, but there was a resort we were eyeing. However, when we arrived at that place, it was closed. They didn't have running water, so they didn't accept any guests.

We didn't have any backup plan and we couldn't check the internet for one, either. So, while we were in the main area of the town, we asked some locals for help, and they told us about a traveler's inn nearby.

We didn't expect much of it as we only needed a place to stay because our main purpose was to go to Kawasan Falls in the next town. However, when we explored the inn after checking in our room, this was what we saw.

Back part of the inn...

The view from the back part of the inn was amazing! The owner told us we could take a dip any time we want...

The beach was rocky, but they're smooth rocks... and the water was very clear! And we got the whole place for ourselves.

We just dipped our feet and enjoyed the breeze in the morning because we still had to check out the waterfalls in the next town.

We passed by interesting places as we walked following the river. We didn't know the exact location and we just felt like walking around and getting lost in the beauty of nature.

Kawasan Falls was beautiful, but since there were quite a number of people, we decided to go up and explore the other smaller falls leading to this one.

There were many levels... and we even saw some people canyoneering. :) Then after spending some more time, we went to a beach in the same town.

It wasn't very clean due to the seaweed, so we just walked around. The sand was beautiful and the water was also very clear, though... Instead of swimming here, we decided to go back to the inn and take a dip there.

The sunset was mystical! In our area, we get a very beautiful view of the sunrise, but not of the sunset. So, it was a great chance for us to witness it here. :)

We stayed in this place even after sunset. We just talked and enjoyed the sea breeze.

The next morning, we had to go back to the city. However, when we saw the sea from the window, it was as if it was calling us... so, we went out for one more dip before heading home.

I miss going to the countryside and being in nature... but more than that, I miss my bestie. She's coming to the Philippines next year, though. So I'm really excited! <3

Thanks for reading and see you around! (^^,)/
