I survived my youth and the intervening years until now and look back on those days with a wry smile and great fondness; who I was then, and what I learned, shaped me into the man I am now.
I'm glad you learned G-dog, I would hate it if you'd have become the kinda guy who would take a leaf blower up onto the roof, right? right? Imagine the kind of guy you would have been without this learning? You could be a complete reprobate or a refuse-to-learn fool who would play Russian roulette with a tart of questionable Portuguese heritage.
Fabulous topic, one that seemed simple and light at first but the thoughts that came unbidden, upon reflection, were actually quite profound. I went with the the recollections that transported me back to oh-so-simple times and wrote from the heart, unchecked, and didn't over-edit myself or choose my words from my head too much as I believe I would have lost some authenticity that way.
I have met a couple of cool people this weekend whom I didn't really know before so all in all I am very grateful for the chance to reflect.
Take good care of you and your lovely lady and have a fab festive week Galen 🙂
Lol...The great leaf blower on roof episode of 2021. Ah yes, how the memories of the pain and humiliation flood back. Good times. Good times.
Russian Roulette with a Portuguese tart...I'm all for multiculturalism you know.
Thanks for your kind words and I'm glad it prompted you to get involved. I wrote my own 1800 words this week also mate, and it was nice to reflect and remember that place Is created as a nine year old. I was on a roof...No garden blower in those occasions though.
