Hey there my fellow hivians, today I will be taking about my most mischievous thing I did as a child, I hope you strap in and enjoy my entry.
The Question of the day
Growth is a continuous process and time is an expensive venture, we can't stop the growth process and as time passes we begin to change. Sometimes I look back at my childhood and wonder wherther am still the same person I was then and answer is No. For me I cherish my childhood and hold unto those memories cause they mean alot to me. All those experiences has shaped me to the kind of man I'm growing up to be, so I am grateful for my childhood.
Growing up as a child, I really loved motorcycles. My dad never owned one, but I would envy other people my age that their parents had one. I didn't really care what the purpose of motorcycle was, but I love the swag that came with it. My Uncle had a motorcycle, so I would always see him as the cool one from my paternal side. He would take me on his bike when he had the opportunity and we would run around town and do some errands.
In 2016 I was set to enter high school, I was supposed to be sent to a boarding school so my father sent me to live with my uncle so I can get knowledge of how independence feels like. I felt happy at the time because of I thought I would even get a chance to always be around the motorcycle perhaps my uncle may even allow me ride it, I thought. In my uncle's apartment our neighbours also had a motorcycle and it was parked out side in the general backyard, in the evening I would take time to play with the packed motorcycle and pretend like if my hair was in the wind. Oneday as I was playing with the bike, I bent down as if I was fixing it and mistaken I opened the fuel gauge. I tried closing it as fast as I could be I didn't seem to have enough strength to tight it, I heard footsteps approaching in my direction and I ran off leaving the fuel pump leaking and draining.
Unfortunately the person that came to the backyard didn't really notice the pump leaking and she carried a firewood stove so she could cook and the fuel was leaking nearby, as she was about to light the stove her father burst out of nowhere and called her attention to the leaking fuel, he then knealt down and tighten the knot as he started to look for who had opened it in the first place, I was in my uncle's apartment shaking with fear as I overheard their conversation outside.
I started to chiver because I realised that my ignorance and stupidity could have caused a serious tragedy. My uncle came back that evening and asked me if I knew anything of what happened and I denied because I didn't want to recieve a spanking, don't judge me.🥲
When I grew older I told my uncle about the event and I apologised to him. That event made me release that they are really consequences for actions wherther grew up or as an infant and we can't all be children forever.
Thank you for reading my weekend entry, Happy Holidays 😊
Mischievous indeed. That would have been a disaster.
Yeah, I know. That why man had to grow up.
