Apparently, the possibility of certain events occurring is just why it's said to never say never.
I won't just grab a gun and shoot it right at a person's skull or grip a knife and slice the life out of another. Or any other weapon capable of making someone lifeless.
But given the topic inwhich I have to take the life of one to be able to save the breath of another, then there are situations, which if it presents itself, I believe I would.

The first time I ever got to know that killing another despite being a sin, could have a plus to it was in a movie whereby an actor had to kill an assassin sent after him inorder to save himself. So that was practically self defense. It was either kill or be killed.
Another instance was an obstetric dilemma whereby the medical practitioners are to either save the mother or the child.
That said, a situation I would take one's life to save another would be a case of having to kill someone who's hell bent on killing another.

If I happen to find myself present in a situation where a life is at stake, posed by another on intent, then I would surely go ahead to kill the threatener in question.
As much as I may not have the right to take the life of another, a life I can't create, I believe this is a reasonable situation whereby killing such person would be more of a good act than a crime.
I might be saying it all smoothly, making it look like the easiest thing on planet earth but it would be anything but easy. Killing someone. Having to see their blood splatter around and life, sniff out of them.
I know very well that I would be trembling like a leaf and afterwards, such moment would be a trauma. An experience I won't be so lucky to forget quite easily.
But saving a life is much more important and that would equally be my priority at the moment.
