What's up, hiversš I'm your fabulous @shymerring again, eager to share my weekend experience with you allš.
It was Saturday, and I was used to napping late at night. My mother eventually left me in our room at 4 a.m. She had an early duty at Ilihan. She is also a former barangay health worker (BHW) in our prevalent community, so she had to get up early for work that day. And she told me to go to the hospital and see my sister, who had given birth on August 1, 2024. They want to stay up there for a few days to watch her and the baby, and she is unable to move due to the stitching in her private area. That is why she requires companionship if she ever needs help.
I was in a rush at that moment because it was about eight o'clock, and my sister informed me that she was already hungry. Knowing that I had a lot of household duties to do and needed to make rapid decisions, after everything was settled, I prepared our breakfast to bring to the hospital, yet I want to eat there because I have no time.
Breakfast is ready to serveš
Going to Cebu Provincial Hospital Bogo City
As this was only my second time riding the bus alone, I felt too numb and afraid. I was an independent person at that time, and to reach where I wanted to go, I had to get rid of everything. I really relished taking in the healing beauty of nature when I rode the bus; it helped me to feel more at ease. After several minutes, I eventually made it here.

When I was in front of the hospital, I called the husband of my sister to pick me up because I didn't know where their room was. While waiting for him, I went to the bakery to buy something sweet for snacks later on.
When I arrived at the hospital, I was fragile, since this was my greatest fear. But I guess I need to overcome my fear at that time.Gladly,Kuya Jobel accompanied me until we arrived in the area where they were staying.
When I entered the room, my jaw dropped due to the ambiance that hugged me. The style of the room is quite unique, and the paint combination is so simple. Itās so placid because my sister and the baby are sleeping. So what I did was eat first, then go to the next bed that was available, and I made myself feel welcome. Though I ate doughnuts and cornetto for refreshing.
When the baby woke up, I happily and excitedly went to him (itās a baby boy). I am over the moon after seeing my new nephew for the first time. Well, I guess Tita is ready for a babysitter mood (lol), but itās time to welcome him into this very surprising world.
Heās so cute and adorable. Yeah, Iām so excited for the adventure weāve been partaking in in the future. When our eyes met up, I felt the butterflies flying into my stomach. I came to realise that itās totally a blessing that God sent to us, most especially to my sister. Well, I guess another member of the Umpad family has been added.
I loved babies so much; yeah, Iām complete.
Seeing them wearing their sweetest and most genuine smile while together taking care of their first child is a kind of romantic excitement. In some instances, having a good husband is such a great blessing to my sister; she deserves the award. Yet finally, they are now a happy, complete family, thanks to our God Almighty for granting their prayers to have a baby on their own. On the other hand, while I was just waiting till afternoon so that I could go home, I helped them with the baby with some stuff, eat lunch, watch movies, and take a little nap.
While Iām on the bus, Iām fixing myself because Iām so stressed. You know why? Well, unfortunately, while taking off from the hospital, I didnāt know where to take an exit due to the many narrow roads. I felt a little lost. Thank God someone helped me. So much for that when I finally take some retouch, I suddenly glimpse at the sky, and the sunset kisses me like o my god , I'm in love, My stressed suddenly disappeared in some reason that the beauty of the sunset heals me (it feels like heaven for me).
When I get back home we eventually do our daily routine which is Holy Rosary.
Thatās what my Saturday haul is all about. I feel bushed, so I take a nap early because I have some stuff to do on Sunday morning.
Sundays feels
Early in the morning, my father commanded me to wash all the clothes, and there were a lot of clothes I needed to wash; I didn't know if I could carry them. And I was just the one who washed all of those, but thankfully my neighbour helped me when I already wanted to give up because I was so tired. She helped after she was already done washing their clothes. Her name is Ate Amay, and she has been so generous to us ever since without being compliant. At some point, my sister helped me a little bit, but she left me very quickly because she had an appointment to go.
Nature is my everything so I'll never forget to take a picture to this very amazing trees and water.š„°
Finally, after three hours of working on my allotted duty, we planned to take a bath to refresh ourselves due to exhaustion. I feel blessed because God sent me someone who helped me without asking. In addition, as we were taking a bath, my classmates arrived, and we quickly discussed several life-related topics. After that, we headed home and rested because I had to go to church in the afternoon for mass. As part of my duties as a lector in our church, I was assigned to be the reader for the second reading on that particular day.
Upon arriving at the church, I need to be prepared for my readings (practice them thoroughly and get myself up in order to deliver the message of the Lord perfectly). I prayed for his guidance while I was delivering the word of the lord. My day was so blissful because I often completed the task that God wanted us to do as Catholic servants, attending the mass every Sunday. A kind of healing and as well as asking for the forgiveness of my sins, and thanking God for all the blessings he gave to us (my family).
During the mass, we felt the words of wisdom of the Lord and the heart-touching preaching of the priest. It made me realise that I am blessed that I exist in the world to receive the goodness of God (and I will forever praise God for being so good to me). After the mass, since it was also the celebration of St. John Viganney, or World Priest Day, his beloved parishioners tend to offer him a song as a way of thanking him for all that he does for our parish (in fact, he is the one who planned to renovate our parish).
Before coming home, we normally buy some food to fill our bellies and then wait for the bus until it arrives. My Sunday is full of gratitude and satisfaction for God's generosity. To put it simply, my weekend was significantly better, as I had numerous first-time realisations this weekend. I hope you do too! That's it for this blog.
