WE×206 There are fates worse than death.

Hello community, sorry for the long absence on topical weekends, I've had busy Saturdays and Sundays lately, but this week instead of Sunday it was a Friday so I have a calm Sunday.

Let's get to what concerns us, I chose this topic because the topic of immortality was very chosen haha

In my country there is no such thing as the death penalty, so it is not a moral dilemma that crosses me closely, the possibility simply does not exist, nor does euthanasia, animals can only be sacrificed for their good, so that they do not suffer, this is not the case with humans, with these we hope that they will patiently agonize until their body can no longer resist. How humane is it to let them die naturally if it only serves to extend their suffering?

Capital punishment exists within the framework of legality, in the case of crimes perpetrated by people who are irrecoverable to reintegrate into society or if their crime exceeds the good customs of the time.

What is the confinement of prisons for? To punish evildoers. If there are crimes that can be released on bail, there is a balance, justice, that indicates which crime is morally irreconcilable according to the values and standards of society, according to the rights that citizens achieve.

We cannot say that at some point we were better or worse with this issue since it is a moral debacle, both the crime and the punishment.

There is no difference between vigilante justice and capital punishment, except for the circumstances surrounding the event.

Death itself as the axis of rhetoric, by far seems the worst punishment, between eternal confinement and the freedom of non-existence, it does not seem to be so bad in the end, if I commit some atrocity that cannot be released, and I have to spend the rest of my life locked up without the right to reply I would definitely prefer death.
If I had to condemn someone what would take precedence in my decision? If the decision were solely mine: My sense of justice, of revenge, of convenience? Preferring indefinite lethargy as a punishment or a quick death as a way to appease a sentence.

Sometimes the condemned know that they are going to die, but they don't know when the day will be, the only difference between those prisoners and us free ones is...... I would like to believe that freedom.

Just as the dying are prisoners of their dying bodies, the insane prisoners of their mental cages, the homeless condemned to the harshness of the elements. Inciting suicide is a form of sentencing to death, which for ancient cultures could be considered a kindness.
I think the death penalty should be a personal decision, otherwise it is just a show of sadism and misunderstanding power.

Here I bring a photo of my favorite sex toy to illustrate with an example of a weapon with which traditional Japanese suicide was traditionally carried out in its training version, this in itself cannot kill me but it does punish me beautifully 🤩😋😘

Have a lovely week and hope to read you soon at the next weekend!!
